Car show/cookout @ Sutherlin Mazda
 

Hello everyone!

I'm testing for interest and if enough are interested I'll get the guys at the dealership to chime in themselves.

The GM at Sutherlin Mazda wants to throw a car show and cookout for the club members in the Atlanta area. They agreed to clean out an area in their car lot for everyone to park. He offered to grill out and potentially have a band/DJ or some sort and give out service/part coupons or discounted car washes that day for everyone. They just ask we pick a date and they'll make sure they have the staff to take care of the group. My goal is to get as many of the different groups together; mx5, rotary, as well as the 3&6 clubs. July 16th is the date.

I know dealerships tend to screw people over, but I appreciate these guys and gals. So, if you're interested, please chime in.

how far will this be from ft stewart ga? if its reasonable im down..been wanting to do something like this

Sutherland Mazda is north of Atlanta, GA in Buford, GA Quite a drive for you. But if you want to get for a nice drive in the eight, it would be fun.

Okay everyone. Sorry that I haven't been on in a while, but this month has turned out more hectic than I expected. Seeing as how I'm trying to get this going I don't think it'd be cool of me to miss the event due to work. SO, we will be pushing this event back into July (obviously not the week/weekend of the 4th). Maybe more people can come now. So any other people interested?

It's a 4 hour drive from Savannah, but I wouldn't mind signing up

I drive by Sutherland every day to work. I will definitely stop by to see Susan in service, Mike in Parts and the gang. Plus, I want to meet JessiahC! :D

My birthday is the 18th and I'd like to do something close by that weekend. Jessiah was trying to get something together in the Savannah area but that's a ways to travel for a lot of different peeps. So, put me down if you are planning it the weekend of the 17th.

I'm just waiting for confirmation from the dealer that the date will be solid. Once that happens I'll create a facebook event and post the link here so everyone can spread the word and give me a true number on how many will show up.

Alright, for those of you that come. When you turn onto the road at the dealership, go to the second driveway on your right and pull in. We're supposed to be in the employee parking. If you pull in the front one just drive around til you find us. Can't wait to see you there!

Good to meet some new RX-8 owners and other Mazda owners today. It was a nice little turn-out. Thanks to Sutherland Mazda for hosting this for us. I understand there may be another meeting in the Fall months. So, stay tuned.

Don, it was good to see you today. And, THANKS DON, for getting my front lip back up on my 8. Kevin is going to get those screws to finish it for me. I really appreciate your help.

Glad I could help Holly, I suggest you do get 4 more of the proper plastic push fasteners and also drill a couple holes and use wire ties to snug it up close to the nose.
