Atlanta Track
Anyone know of a track in the Atlanta area that let's you bring a private car to run? I'm not looking for a drag strip but rather an oval or other track that will allow me to run all out to see what this RX-8 can really do.

Yes. It's called I-285 (tongue in cheek). Well, I guess it's not really a racetrack...it just seems that way!

When you do find one, let me know, I'll bring my 8 and we can tear em up. Been wondering the same thing. Also want to flog the spitfire.

Road Atlanta sometimes will let you put your car on the track...i think it's $45 bucks...I can't remember I haven't been out there in about 5 years...
There are certain restrictions and rules but you should give them a call.. |

There are many driving schools that will gladly offer you 90 minutes everyday in a controlled and safe enviroment at Road Atlanta, little Talladega or the Atlanta Speedway. For about 300 to 400 dollars you'll have an instructor that will show you how to drive the track, where the passing zones are, and how to properly drive your car in a controlled matter.
If you want a list of dates of when tracks such as Road Atlanta and others are available go here www.trackschedule.com Hope this helped |
Thanks for all the input. I'll look into the options mentioned. Might make for a nice B-Day gift for my wife to get me this August. She never knows what to get anyway because I have a bad habit of buying my own toys - like my new 8. :-)
