I live in Huntsville, but I have not bought my 8 yet. I am waiting on the new 07s to come out so that I can either get a brand new 07 or get a deal on an 06.

I am in the Huntsville area - have a black 04 with DARK tinted windows. Usually only drive it on Fridays and the weekend but you never know when you might see me - all depends on the mood I am in each morning

I doubt a caravan, unless i can talk to the guys sunday and see what they say. it would be a nice showing, and blow those old timers minds.....its free, jsut a show off, no big prizes jsut a best in show i think for 100.00, and a some small trophies. Its at Hardees in new hope. The first Saturday in Oct, which i think is the 7th. Its the last one of the season...but I thought it a neat way to meet some folks and show off our beauties. I was there for a brief minute the last time they had one, jsut to find out the particulars,,,,and my car was surrounded wit honlookers, wanting to know this and that. Can you imagine if we roll up with 6 or 7 in a row!.....lol

I bought my 05 vr a year ago. It has been near perfect. I did lose a side vent cover during my last drill trip...I hit 135 several times a couple of days before the engine test/flash, just to see how well it would do. The vent was the only casualty.

I am rarely in Huntsville (in my car), but I have seen a few 8s. I raced one south on the parkway (in front of the SCI building). We hit 115 before we backed off. Does this sound like anybody?

hmmmm, maybe one of a few guys, what was the color....Mine is Copper Red, and I havent found an 8 that I will race yet, not on the city streets...between New Hope and Guntersville on 431 thats a good straight course, though, and not a whole lot of traffic if you catch it about 10 on a saturday or sunday...the Nordic green one belongs to a college student, and the titanium silver belongs to a former Captain on the police force here,( retired), but still loves his 8. Theres another silver one, that was at the SCCA Autocross event, I've seen him around town, but dont know him. Actually in HUntsville I've seen 4 in the Titanium SIlver, or close too it..too many for me. THeres one black one, but she only comes out on the weekends and Friday, if its pretty, two red ones, Now That might have been one of the guys I know..lolol one does race, but the other guy just bought his, so I doubt it was him...( not a gal but me that I know of has one), in this area. One thats a dark blue and one a light blue. just seen in traffic,..thats about it that I've seen in this city.

Including mine, there are 3 in the arab area. The other two are Black and Silver.

The best place I've seen for high speeds is I-65, South of Cullman until the outskirts of B'ham. Particularly where there is a divider keeping a cop from swinging around and nailing you. With 3 lanes for a number of miles, traffic often isn't an issue.

I'm not sure if the red 8 I was flying with in South H'ville was vr or copper...in was night and we were side by side for a good portion of it.

i've only found one 8 that even started to race.. it was a silver, and he just revved his engine as he turned onto the street and then we had to slow down 'cause of traffic...
rd, if i see ur copper one going the same direction as me i'll be sure to have some fun! and add a yellow 8 to ur list in huntsville, not sure who's it is, but i saw it at lunch yesterday.
torch, i might drive through wings sunday afternoon to see if you're there, but i have to agree about I-65... my dad and I raced back from trussville on that stretch after i bought my 8.

It had to have been Red, mine is the only Copper one in town, (that I have seen anyway), and I know most of the guys cars, and the color is exclusive to 06. You are right about that stretch of highway.A great place to run. Personally I prefer the hills of TN so I can get into the curves, and play. Cant go as fast, but you test your abilities more..lolol, BTW..If you are ever headed up that way either up through the backroads or the highway. Keep a sharp eye out for a yellow orange dodge Charger...THAT is either county or a Trooper. I liked to have flipped when I saw it, and to the best of my recollections he's carrying dash lights, not top mounted....and and you know he's got a supercharger on top of that Hemi.! We wouldnt have a chance even if he was at a dead stop.....I just hope that ALABAMA doesnt adopt these cars. We'd all be in a world of hurt......lol

I will be at Wings around 12. Look for the Bears game, ask for Ray (6-2, dark hair). I am trying to find a church to attend on gamedays in Huntsville...so I don't have to feel guilty about skipping church to watch ball. Any suggestions?

I didn't make it to wing until after 1230...the parking lot was full, so I went to the Endzone.
