Anyone order from RX8Performance lately?

Anyone place a recent order to RX8Performance?
Ordered a bunch of stuff last week through their website, and have yet to get a status update.

Are they still processing orders through the pandemic/etc?

Yeah I have ordered a few things and although Scott is communicative, things are all on back order.
I have been waiting on a clutch and Auxiliary cooling system for a couple months now.
Covid hit the car scene pretty hard

I ordered a trio canister on the 5th of April 2018 (confirmed and paid in full) and I am still waiting for Scott to send me one, he is not good at communication and it has been a complete run around chasing him constantly. "made to order" must only produce one a year or less.

Extremely disappointed with his response and ability to communicate.

I will never be using him again and I'll just spend the money getting custom parts made, the time and effort it has taken to try and get it, I would have saved money custom building parts.

I am now a 19 year old and was building the RX8 for my first car, I've had the engine and brakes rebuilt and the Trio Canister is literally the last part of the car I am now waiting on. So disappointing.

Unfortunate. Smh. I have the RX8Performance kit, and except for some minor issues, h/b very pleased w/ overall design and flow. However, IMV Scott's kit design prowess is only rivaled by his lack of business acumen, communication, and customer service specifically regarding honoring commitment dates. I was quoted, have all the emails, 3-4 months for delivery, and received the last required components in just over 15 months. Yes, I had legal on stand by.

Scott's a nice guy, spent a good deal of time early on providing helpful guidance, and whatnot, but he clearly doesn't grasp, or care just how disruptive, and frustrating this lack of adherence to committed delivery dates is. Smh I've not been vocal about this on the forum b/c...after all I did receive the kit, ...hold no malice, wish him well, ...better actually; but "this" is unprofessional, ridiculous. The kit is good, but in terms of business practice...our community deserves better.

And MODs, I've also wondered, knowing of the many occurrences of these sort of complaints..., why RX8Performance is allowed the privilege of sponsoring on the forum? The presence of their sponsorship is disingenuous and misleading. The fact that they are/were a sponsor gave me a false sense of comfort which definitely influenced my decision, or at least how I went about engaging w/ RX8Performance.

Best to all.

To be fair, the corona thing is not helping, but perhaps this one was pre-corona too maybe.

Talking to someone else last night that can’t get anyone to respond back to him on a rebuilt Renesis motor. Pretty much all the usual companies you might think of ...

but then we were told in Matthew 24 to expect the love of many to wax cold. The threshing season seems to be upon us; who will end up the wheat and who the chaff? Perhaps the petty worldly stuff is not where our focus should be.

Sorry that I have nothing positive to contribute otherwise.

damn.. brought jesus into it..

I received my package on Aug 11th and ordered on Jul 22nd. It was all tune up stuff and the coil bracket (more flexible than the stock bracket). It sat with label created for 4 days and was delayed in USPS but everything was packaged very well. Hope this helps

Ordered (and pre-paid) for a Cold Air Intake from Scott Glassburn at RX8Performance.com, on 12 June 2020. Order #4006. I have been waiting for the product, and understand the COVID-19 delays, but hoping for the product soon.

This is my second order from Scott. I got some of his engine mounts, and was very happy with them, hence the order for the CAI.

I will keep you posted on the CAI.

Was thinking about placing an order but after reading through this and another few threads I think I'll hold off. Does anyone have any positive feedback?

Yes I have bought a bunch of stuff from Scott at Rx8Performance. I have their AST tank and Motor mounts in addition to their fan control system (Integrated with the AST) and a few misc. things like a sunshade w/ a few other odds and ends.

Recently placed an order for the oil pan so I am just waiting on confirmation of that package. Seems like it takes two weeks to get most stuff out. It would be nice for him to communicate better his lead times. I always end up having to email a few times to get an idea of when he plans on shipping my stuff out.

When was the last time you’ve heard from Scott? With his known history for some people, I’m slightly worried I haven’t heard from him for my product.

The pan has taken a bit longer than I expected but I reached out to Scott. He explained the situation. We came to an agreement. I'll make a post when the pan arrives.

About a year ago or so I had wanted to overhaul my oil system. I ended up ordering their oil cooler fan kit. I ended up asking for several updates to no avail. After about 3-4 months bought my own fans on summit racing and am working through the electrical myself. Been going with some of the improved racing products.

Attempted to cancel my order as I had still not heard anything and explained I no longer needed the kit because it took too long. The response I got back was along the lines of.... its close to being ready. Eventually just got my bank involved to cancel the order.

Lack of communication is definitely an issue, seems like he needs someone to help communicate with customers.

Its been two months since my last post. I ended up canceling my order with Scott. When I reached out he told me that 'All the pans are handmade' and 'that ive invested 100k into a new fabricator' and that 'he cant poke them to much or they won’t make anything for him'. I said ok when can I have my pan then and he said 'I don’t want to deal with you so Ill give you your money back'. I said I wanted the pan. Ive been fine waiting, but I want to have a deadline. He said two weeks. Two weeks came and went. Ended up having to ask for a refund which he said, 'He would send a letter to his accountant'. I waited 5 days for any other correspondence and got nothing.

In the end I had to get my bank involved and start a claim. Its been about 4 weeks since I asked for the refund and it seems like the claim went through. I would not recommend Rx8Performance for anything anymore. The way Scott treated me and talked to me on the phone after I had been waiting 3 months for my pan was unacceptable and unprofessional. The way the company is run right now and products are shipped out I am surprised I got anything at all from him. The products are great the quality is amazing. But the general experience I have just had with him has turned me off as a customer and will warn everyone I know to stay as far away from this company as possible.

I ordered the AST and Rotary Dual Tank for Washer fluid/Sohn adapter a little over a year ago. Took six months to get the AST, never got the Tank setup I ordered. I talked to Scott several times and he was super helpful, but would never give me my money back. Kept saying it was about to ship or that it would ship next week. I got distracted and forgot about it for a while, and now its been too long for me to file any kind of claim. He hasn't responded to any of my latest emails so is what it is I guess..

I ended up buying my pan from Ryan at Ryan Rotary Performance. Came in a week from overseas. He forgot to include the screws for the pan, but was super responsive and made sure to send them out the next day. Hes very active on the Facebook group I'm in and I plan on buying more from him in the future. Also offers similar parts to what Scott has this includes motor mounts and that Rotary Dual tank setup you are talking about. If I was buying an AST again I would be buying from Bennet Built. I have bought their ignition coil upgrade kit and when a part broke they were more than willing to send out a replacement. Lot of other vendors offer similar offerings to what Scott has. I personally will be trying to make my own oil cooler setup as now I cant trust Scott to send out his own products.

Good to know about RRP! I have been looking at potentially buying a few parts from them. I need series 2 oil cooler lines and motor mounts as well so I may go with them. For the AST, I was looking at the one from Petit Racing, but I've also considered the Bennett Built AST as well.

As a side note, curious as to why RRP chose a smaller capacity design for their pan.
