FS: 2005 Velocity Red GT, 710 MILES!! - NO LONGER FOR SALE -

I can't believe I've only had this 2 weeks, and already I'm testing the waters...

Bought my RX8 earlier this May with 9 miles. In light of the excitement of test driving the car I never adjusted my seat to where it should have been. However, shortly thereafter I started to realize that I'm slightly too tall for the 8, with my hair brushing the roof constantly...even when reclined. Love the car to no end, but can't really enjoy it while leaning forward all the time. Yea, what an expensive mistake.

2005 Velocity Red RX-8 GT
ONLY 710 miles! 75% HW/25% city miles

SHOWROOM CONDITION. Leather, Grand Touring pkg, fully loaded (including dynamic stability control, heated seats, power sunroof, 6-disc indash changer, xenon lights to name a few) with all options aside from appearance, navigation and accents. Car still has new car smell. Non-smoker. Bone stock. Single adult driver (I am the ONLY person to have EVER driven it). Car was manufactured 9/05...all 04/05 service recalls covered from factory.

Still currenty in the process of breaking the engine in, and have NEVER taken it over 4500 RPMS (waiting until 1000 miles until break-in complete). Obviously, a very babied engine.

7 year/100K mile extended warranty available for transfer.

Paid over $26K, KBB at 24,970, Edmunds at $25,173

Asking $24,700 or $26,500 with extended warranty

Located in Lima, OH. PM or e-mail with ANY questions/offers. :)

So if someone buys the car for 24,700 you have the power to just void the warranty?

Sorry if I wasn't clear on that...it is an extended warranty that would be transferred.

Original warranty for 4 years/50K miles would not be affected. That would automatically be transferred along with the sale of the car.

However, the extended warranty is for an additional 50K miles or 3 years, and covers basic, drivetrain and roadside (basically bumper-to-bumper) for that time period, totalling 7 years or 100K miles.

Sorry for the confusion :)

Does the car have navigation? Also if you have any pictures of the car, that would be good.

As stated in the original post, no it doesn't have navigation. Due to all the poor weather, I haven't had a single day since i purchased it to even get a chance to snap a half decent picture.

**However, after careful thought and some of the offers I've got, i've decided NOT to sell the car for a few reasons**

First off, I just realized in the last 24 hours after takin a spin to work and a lil cruise in the country that I really do like this car more then I originally thought!

Second, financially speaking, none of the offers have even been close to reasonable for a brand new car with only 700 some miles. The car is basically BRAND NEW! I'm not gonna sell for $3K LESS then the steal-of-a-deal price I already paid for it (almost $7K under MSRP!) :icon_no2:

It all boils down to the fact that I REALLY do love this car, and didn't realize that until I started to plan for AFTER I sold it. I've decided that it's a small price to make with the low roof, even if it means tilting WAY back.

Who was I fooling?? This car has me. I don't know as though I could sell it even if I REALLY wanted to now.

My hair brushes the ceiling when I sit up in my 8. I've gotten that in a couple cars I've owned. So long as my head does not actually touch the ceiling, I don't really care. Half the time, I am slouching and don't notice anyway. I find the seats fantastically comfortable for as supportive as they are. Maybe, down the road, you can alter the seat brackets to buy another inch.

Nice Choice.

I'm 6 foot 3, 265 pounds. Not givin up my 8 for squat. It's a compact sports car, I knew this. If I wanted something with room I'd get a Hummer.

Hence the reason I decided to overlook such small issues on a car that i love so much otherwise! :ylsuper: just took a lil soul searching to decide what my priorities REALLY were! :)
