FS: '05 RX-8 Shinka A/T 56k miles, Bay Area, Cali
Hi folks -
Selling my '05 RX-8 Shinka. Very long story, but I ended up with this car and do not need it. Happy to give more details to anyone interested. I bought it on 10/31 from a dealer. It is a 1-owner California car with a clean title. I put about 10 miles on her per day to and from work. Car is loaded, of course. Immaculate condition. New tires and brakes, leather is beautiful. Everything is perfect. I just do not need the car. Asking price is lowered to $15,800, which means I take a loss on the car (I'm in it for $16,500). If anyone is interested, please email me at shinka@me.com. I will provide photos and more info to interested buyers. Thanks. |
So 100 views on this post and not one reply... Apparently something is off. Anyone care to provide some thoughts as to what that may be? Not terribly familiar with these cars, but I would like to sell mine as I really do not need it.
Thanks. |

Thanks. Probably the price, I just picked up a 1 owner 2005 auto rx-8 with 28,000 miles on it and a year of warranty left for 13700, granted it wasn't the shinka edition, but rx-8's are just going for cheaper than you have yours priced. That's what I think anyway. I'd check ebay and autotrader prices so that you can price yours competitively. |
Bump for lowered price.

What's the mileage on yours? I'm at 20k on my [6-spd] Shinka and still plenty of OEM rubber and brake pads. Mine is original owner, very clean, has never been driven in winter sand/salt/snow, all TSB's performed, new oil every 3k, and yet I figure I'd be very lucky to get $15.8k.
The sad truth is that the '8 depreciates very quickly. |
Mileage is 56k.
I understand these cars depreciate quickly, but KBB, Edmunds and other peers capture that, and they still price my car somewhere around $16k. |
We of course all wish you the very highest of returns on your investment, but you did ask why you had no responses ....

unless I missed the link to pics, or you took the pics down - posted pics of the vehicle would help you sell it.
