have a 2004 with body kit. Brand new rims and tires...Nitto NT555's.
It has a 383 stroker completely built from the ground up. Internally balanced with all new parts. The transmission is the T56 from a camaro. Has a racing clutch and a custom built driveshaft. The shop I got the clutch and driveshaft from will stand behind both. Driveshaft for a lifetime and the clutch for a whole year rather you go to the track or not. Engines fires right up..idles great and has a great sound. It has a cat back exhaust. Car has enough power to be able to play and have a good time but low enough gearing for good gas mileage down the highway. Feel free to text or call me 812-236-1182 picture has old rim and tires. Offers are very welcome... It really don't matter where you live I can deliver just about anywhere. |

as you can see the rear tire is 2.4 inches taller then stock and 2.75 inches wider and I can still smoke the tires pretty good in first.
The car has NITTO N555 tires all around it. oh and as far as the rims. They are brand new and I just got them mounted. I haven't put the accents and center cap on them yet. So I have all the missing pieces. Here is a couple of video's for ya http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_5t_VyAelMs http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QTHY1...eature=channel |

If it wasn't for I was looking for something new to play with...I'd most likely trade you for a little cash or something. I really enjoyed the swap and doing the work...just now I really just need money lol. But I did want to do another swap.

Actually that specific day it actually cut out in 4th gear do to the fact the fuel pump I had wasn't keeping up and it died out do to no fuel. There's no better feeling then knowing you have those big ass rear tires on the car and stepping on it and being pressed into the seat but yet hearing the tires squeal all at the same time. |
Do you have the front suspension set higher, it looks to be much higher off the ground then other RX8s? How does this handle now in the corners with the V8 swap? Did you weigh the two engines what was the difference in weight?

This might be fun but no way to get it through emissions in my state... No way to fake it either.
Maybe I should buy it and drop the 383 in my old cop Caprice. |
As you all know the car has had a lot of work done to it. It's still for sale. If anyone is interested feel free to make a offer. I can deliver the car as well. But just to answer several questions that's been asked before. lol
A/c isn't installed but can easy be put back in without any problems. No mods to do just built the pump on and go. Emissions....if you have state emissions and your car gets checked out it will fail. I live in a state where they don't do emissions. The closest I get to emissions is if my car is loud the cop will look to see if you have a cat...and that's about it. I'm not interested in trades. The car has changed some but not a lot. I have new springs in the rear which gives it..to me a more aggressive look with the tires. Car gets about 12mpg if your constently on the throttle...but if your driving in distance and driving it right you'll get a easy 20mpg. That's 20 with decent take offs and play here and there. |

Car still for sale. Offers are welcome

Suspension
Whats with the front suspension sitting so high? Is that to accomidate the tires, or the v8?
Also, whats this 383 built off of? |

Also, whats this 383 built off of? Sits high to accomidate the pot holes and bumps you have around here...so I can actually just drive the car and not worry about things. That and It still has the original suspension in the front so it's really pretty soft with the extra weight. It really needs a heavier weight spring in the front so you can lower it back down and not have to worry about it. The tires don't rub at all and never did before I lifted it. and what do you mean the 383 built off of? You mean did I copy someone else's build or what? It's just built....I put the 383 rotating assembly in and then I decided I'd keep the compression low so I could run 87 octane and if you wanted to super charge it I could without any worries. Then I stuck in a decent sized cam and that's pretty much it. |
alright
&about the 383, i was wondering because my buddy has a stroked LS1, thats what i meant by built off of. |
Sounds very sick!
