2008 rx8 phoenix

Can't afford the RX8 lifestyle as a broke college student(bought a Camry) so I'm selling my 2008 RX8 now. Phoenix area, automatic transmission.

I am the third owner, after some guy I don't know and my Aunt. Engine was replaced around 74k miles, when my Aunt purchased it. It was replaced under warranty at Mazda.

If you snoop through my history, my Aunt didn't really know how to take care of it. As soon as I got the car I replaced all the fluids, spark plugs, ignition coils, and all the ignition wires. At this point everything was running fantastic except the idle was a little rough. The overheating scare was just the coolant cap, hasn't overheated since I replaced that.

Negatives:
1) I have NOT had compression tests done.
2) Idle is not good. Very rough idle.
3) CEL P0420 is on. This happened recently, and this is when I bought the Camry. Extremely minimal driving after the light came on.
4) Drivers side door handle latch broke. I still have the handle, I'm pretty sure this is a 15 minute fix I just haven't had any time to do it.
5) Minor body/paint damage, nothing major. Dash is cracked on the passengers side, other than that interior is good condition. Bought seat covers, drivers side seat has some damage underneath.

Positives:
1) Car still drives really nice. No power loss at any point, no damage to the steering or suspension. No issues at all when the car is actually going.
2) Starts hot and cold just fine.
3) Coils, spark plugs, wires, all replaced 6k miles ago. Oil every 3k since I've had it.

Provided the compression isn't totally shot, I think it's still a decent car if you can figure out the rough idle. I have had very limited time recently, which is why I haven't decatted/fixed the door handle. The $3500 is NOT a hard offer, I have to move back to Texas in August so I must have the car sold by then. If you have any questions, please let me know and I'll do my best to answer them. I just moved to Arizona. I am kinda interested in your car but I really don't want to pay anywhere near that price for an automatic and the car isn't running right and throwing a cel. I would expect title issues as well since it is from texas and not registered here in your name. I mostly want the shell for my current rx8 and and to transfer the guts of that one to my B2200. Hit me up later on if you wanna dump the car for cheap lol.

I will update you if I can't find a buyer. I'd rather sell to someone here than to a dealer.

It's an automatic, so naturally it will take a bit longer to sell. Just gotta be patient.

As for the P0420, you might want to take off the catalytic converter and have a look inside. A clogged cat can kill the engine fast.

Yeah unfortunately I can't bring 2 cars back with me or I 100% would wait for the right buyer. And yeah I knew the cat clog kills engines which is why I stopped driving it, should probably just decat it myself but I'm really struggling to find time.
