I absolutely love this car and the only reason im selling it is to buy a new R3! The car in every way has been maintained with an insane case of ocd. Motor is original and runs perfect, no compression loss at all starts instantly like the day i bought it. I've used 5w-20 non synthetic castrol all its life, never once had a problem, i top off every time i fill up and she is well reved everyday needless to say. redline MT-90 in transmission all gears work great, no grinding what so ever. not sure if im missing any details but don't be afraid to ask! Not in a rush to sell but i will consider all offers so don't be shy.

DETAILS-

Aftermarket parts-
Greddy SP2 catback
K&N-typhoon intake
Sacchi S255 18" x 8" wheels

That's not a shinka.

Xfinisher 12-13-2012 01:33 AM

how so..?

Slidin8 12-13-2012 01:46 AM

you want way too much for a car that is out of warranty and will need a new engine very soon

Xfinisher 12-13-2012 01:52 AM

first: why was this comment even nescassary?

second: have you driven the car? have you seen the car? i suggest you take your skepticism elsewhere

third:are you selling the car? do you set the price?

go rant to someone who deserves it, i can ask how much i want and ifi am unable to sell i will change my price eventually.

first: because i don't want to see someone ripped off

second: until you show compression results, it is fair to assume that an engine having done 100k miles is nearing the end of it's life

third: no I am not selling the car, but I can see when the price is unfair

Welcome to the internet brah

Xfinisher 12-13-2012 02:22 AM

ripped off? i highly disagree. and if my price is so high what do you feel the car is worth? Note at 95k i had a test done, i have the paper filed and the buyer will have that for documents, the rotors were all in the 115-119 psi range@ 250rpms. i know the car is in excellent condition and your just assuming otherwise cause previous owners failure to care.

Slidin8 12-13-2012 02:29 AM

Dude i don't even care anymore, i actually don't

If it was a shinka, it wouldn't be velocity red, it'd be black cherry mica for 2006.
The interior, you do not have the tan leather/alacantara seats, darker interior trim, it doesn't say Shinka on the pillars and most importantly, you don't have the Shinka build #.

It's a grand touring. How long have you owned this car thinking it was a shinka?

But, I don't think your price is too bad. Obviously you must have the price a bit higher for negotiation. It does have high miles for an '06 but '06s are usually between 10-12k for 40-70k miles. There's a huge price difference between an '04 and an '06. An '04 with that amount of miles would go for around 7k.

Slidin8 12-13-2012 03:25 AM

They also came Copper Red in 2006

I would personally say this RX8 is worth between 8 and 9 grand IF YOUR COMPRESSION CLAIMS ARE CORRECT

Please post pictures of your compression results

No offense but i find it difficult that you were 115-119psi on all chambers

Hmm, ive always wondered if it was or not but never really did the research, rx8 is an rx8 lol i still love it. just when i bought it the carfax said shinka and the dealership told me it was shinka. Ive had it for 3 years now thinking that haha.
And maybe my price is a lil high but its really just highway miles, the only way i can proove is how it runs, i plan on uploading a video. what can i say, i love the car and if i cant sell it then ill just keep loving it :)

i understand you concern but i mean i just feel like the cars have a bad rep from the 04's and early 05's no offence. i mean i have had no mechanical issues and no power loss obviously no compression loss but i do drive alot of highway. i think these cars go for way to cheap eitherway.. 10500 is not much for howmuch car ya get. just the countless blow engines from early years has people worried. and to back up my judgment look at this guys rx8, i beleive if taken care of properly they will last.
