2005 Shinka Edition - 6MT
 

For sale is a 2005 Shinka edition that I purchased as a parts car. As shown in the pictures, the interior has been swapped to the cloth seats that were in my 2005 Sport (the power chair is still in the car, as it would not work with mine). The car will start up cold without trouble, but hot starts are slightly longer, signaling low compression (the previous owner was pretty clueless to the ins and outs of a rotary). I took a step to circumvent this by installing the Series II starter, which drastically shortened start times.

The car was the previous owners daily driver in Michigan, so there is some rust damage. This is mostly focused on the rear quarter panel and wheel wells. The right side looks like it could be fixed without much trouble, but the left could be beyond help (not an auto-body expert, so take with a huge grain of salt). The real tail light has a completely broken stud (I tried to fix this, but was unable to do so). Also, the climate control apparently doesn't shift to heat properly (never tested this since it's now summer).

The car is currently sitting on Dunlop winter tires (not sure of the type) that likely have a few seasons left on them (I kept the summer tires and wheels from the car).

Starting price is $3000 OBO. This needs to move quickly, as I'm borrowing my in-laws driveway to store it, so any reasonable offer is welcome. If it doesn't sale, it will likely become trade-in towards a CX-3.
