2004 RX-8 MT Engine 62.5k
1 Attachment(s)
Hi there,
I have a 2004 Mazda RX8 6-speed manual in winning blue. I've owned it since 2008. It has just over 113,500 on the chassis. Engine replaced 62,500 miles ago by the Mazda Dealership in Delray Beach, FL (have paperwork to prove it). I have service records for work done on the car, with a majority of the work done by myself (transmission fluid, ignition, brakes, oil). She's a beautiful car and she runs great. She's been my daily driver since I've owned her. I've done long drives (FL to NY, NY to CA, etc) and she has never broken down. As of now, the condition is fair. The front bumper has a crack and peeled paint from roadkill just over a year ago. The are scratches, but the paint has held up extremely well. Work that's been done within the last year: four wheel alignment, coolant flush, compression test (very good), transmission fluid, battery, starter, hawk's performance brake pads, and k&n air filter. Since I studied abroad this past semester, my Blizzak winter tires are still on the car. Conventional 5W-20 oil changes were done every 3k miles. I'm interested in selling because I'd like to change cars, get a different experience, and have something more convenient for kayaks. I am only looking for an Audi A4 (2005 or newer), Mini Cooper S, or VW GTI (2005 or newer). If you offer me a truck I will NOT respond. Please reference my flickr for high res photos: 2004 Mazda RX-8 Manual For Sale - a set on Flickr The car is register in Florida (where I'm from). Feel free to PM me with offers. Cheers, John |

I got my compression checked by Ryan over at Shook a while ago. I can have him test again and write them down or take a picture of the screen... Is that acceptable? Will get some pictures too. |
how many miles ago?
|
About 5000 miles ago, car has uinder 120,000 on chassis.
We tested it hot, as I drove it to his shop and we tested it when I got there. He said the numbers were excellent...in the range a cool engine would have. I would have to go back to get actual numbers on a sheet of paper...I was just making sure I didn't buy a lemon before I put any time and money into it. |
