SOLD TO LOCAL BUYER - 2004 RX-8 GT Manual - Reconstructed Title

I have a 2004 Mazda RX-8 with a Reconstructed Pennsylvania title for sale. I am selling it at $2647 below the lowest listed Blue Book Private Party Value of $6642 due to the Reconstructed Title.

A little history of this car - when I purchased it in 2005 while living in PA, it had 12000 miles and it was a recovered theft, hence the reconstructed title. I had to replace the headlights and a few minor items that the thieves had stolen, but there was no damage to the car. Fast forward 2 years at 36000 miles, and it was involved in an accident. There was damage to the drivers side and resulting in replaced fender and drivers side doors, new windshield, and some body panel repairs and paint job totaling over $9000 in repairs. In the process of repairing the car, I had it custom painted with a unique design of my own making on the sides and hood.

I have driven the car for almost 100,000 miles since the accident with practically no problems aside from normal wear and tear. There was an electrical bug that took several years to work itself out relating to a damaged flasher control module that was finally repaired about 2 years ago. Still the fastest and most fun car I've ever owned.

Of course, with 132000 miles on it, it has a few external blemishes. They are listed below:
-Some scraping on the passenger side front fender from rubbing against a fence post hidden in the snow.
-GT Front lip air dam piece is separating from the bumper on the drivers side - could be either removed or perhaps reattached with some rivets.
-Small dent/scrapes on hood.
-Rust spot on Drivers door.
-Various small scratches/scuffs on other body panels.
Most of these blemishes are hardly noticeable without taking a second look.

General repair issues:
-O2 sensor causing CEL. Does not affect drive-ability but will most likely have to be fixed to pass inspection.
-Recently replaced ignition coils and wires and plugs.
-About 20% remaining on rear break pads.
-Has winter tires and rims on it, summer tires and factory chrome rims with TPMS sensors are in storage - will most likely need new summer tires as these have less than 1/4 inch tread remaining.
-Battery terminals are corroded, and battery may need replacing.

For all of these reasons, I started with the "Fair" condition value instead of "Good" or "Excellent" then discounted an additional $2647 because of the title issues/accident repairs.

Car is being sold as is with PA reconstructed vehicle, but I live in NY. You will be responsible for transferring title to your state. Some states may require a salvage vehicle inspection by state police before issuing a registration.
