Thanks for your interest. I have a buyer in the pipeline, but if that deal falls through, I'll let you know.

Ok. Sounds good. I'm getting the answer from the bank today. Might buy something by the end of the week or next week.
Let me know if the buyer falls through and we'll see if I'm still in the market at the time.

I'll be selling my DD (2007 BMW 335i) very soon. If I'm VERY lucky this car will still be available once I've cleared out my current car loan. If I can get that done soon enough than I'll be on the next plane out to Seattle if you'll sell it to me!

I've been a rotary owner for the past 6 years, going German 2 years ago was a bad idea. Gotta keep it in the family

Sorry to let fellow rotor heads down but don't put too much hope to it cause I am picking it up this Friday. I am not expecting anything that the seller is not telling me and would break the deal.

Hmmm...and I was thinking of going german for my next car. The BMW 335i has a good reputation. What didn't you like about it - apart from the obvious lack of rotors

As you see below, tangoshark is hot to buy my RX-8 on Friday. I'll let the group know how things turn out and if it's sold.

Tango, pleeeeeeeeease keep this car the way it currently is. No stupid body kits, no rediculous drop with oversized whels and over-stretched tires, no eBay exhaust system, no dumb stickers/eyelids/chrome fuel door, ad nausium.

Thanks.

Wow - this car brings back memories. I followed the DosDog down to Sevenstock in 2004. His Nordic Green was my envy - it is amazing in the Sunlight. The best color - so rich looking.

Drive it over to the Kent dyno day this Sat. Jeff Abrams will be there!

I will be there also.

Absolutely YES! This car is actually exactly where I want it to be as a nice DD. But I feel bad putting miles on it. Also by keeping the car the way it is now allows me to dump money in my FD.

Corso, you're giving me nightmares! I'm with you, keep the mods tasteful and performance-focused.

You're killing me. You and Jeff turn up in my neck of the woods the day after I plan to sell my car? Cruel, cruel world!

Nice, grats man! I'm sure I'll find another one ^_^ So long as the engine on whatever 8 I get doesn't pop a seal before I'm done rebuilding my FD than I'll be good

Honestly it's just expensive as hell to maintain, and the monthly payments are a good bit over $500. After two years I've had enough of that noise. My electric water pump shat the bed on Monday, absolutely ZERO warning, and the local shop was quoting $1,300 + to fix.. I paid $600 in parts and will be replacing it over the weekend. Basically they are good cars before 70k-80k. With mine being over 100k it's just going to have more and more break.

Honestly I've heard that you can get the E46 M3's for pretty cheap now.

I've got my FD as a sports car (470whp/370tq) to scratch that itch, I just want something relatively reliable as a DD, that's enjoyable enough to drive that I don't want to kill myself on my hour long drive to work every morning.

Sold it

Just wanted to let everyone know that I did sell my RX-8 today to tangoshark. He's a rotary enthusiast and now has a 3 pack: FC, FD and RX-8. I was convinced that "Rex" is going to a good home during the test drive where he took me on a very enjoyable high speed run around the twisties.

Thank you rx8club for all the great support over the years! I learned a lot and Rex became an awesome car as a result of your collective experience. I knew that if I ever had a problem I could turn to you for help. This is a great car community! Here's to hoping that Mazda does the right thing and brings us the next generation in the rotary evolution soon. My RX-8 is a car I'll never forget.

Please treat tangoshark well. I'm sure he'll have a lot of newbie questions, just as I once did.

Cheers!
