I'm selling my RX-8 and thought I'd give rx8club members the first option to buy it since this site has been invaluable during my ownership of this wonderful car. Here's the scoop:

Immaculate and meticulously maintained 2004 RX-8 with genuine low mileage (18,700 miles). This car has been garaged since new, is accident-free, dent free and is in as-new condition. Clean CarFax report available. The engine has been regularly compression tested (report available), decarbonized and run with Idemitsu premix rotary fuel lube. Just serviced at University Mazda in Seattle, who tried to buy it on the spot. This car has many options in addition to the Grand Touring package. It drives really well thanks to MazdaManiac awesomeness!

Specifications:

Nordic green mica metallic
6-speed manual transmission
Grand Touring package includes:
• leather heated seats
• 8-way powered drivers seat, with lumbar adjustment
• power sliding/tilting moonroof
• heated mirrors
• limited slip differential
• 300w Bose audio
• auto dimming mirror with HomeLink
• self-leveling Xenon HID headlights

Options:
• Racing Beat Suspension Package with upgraded springs and sway bars
• MazdaManiac AccessPort performance tuned
• BHR ignition system
• Axialflow Short Shifter
• Axialflow Brake Master Cylinder Brace
• Stainless steel brake lines
• Mazda rear wing spoiler
• iPod integration module
• MP3
• Upgraded tweeters
• Euro-style clear side markers
• Footwell lighting
• Front and rear rotary accents, polished side aero flares
• ClearBra paint protection film
• Spare wheel
• Workshop manual

This car really is immaculate. See the photos.

I'm not parting out. I'm not trading. Just selling.

Wow. that's impressive.

Your asking price is more than fair. Gt trim of one of the rarest colors out there at 18k.... you deserve every bit of your asking price.

Beautiful. That is a helluva lotta car for under $13k. When I was looking for an RX8, had I found this car and not been 3000+ miles away, it would have been a serious contender.

Off topic question for you; what do you use for tire dressing. The look great.

I just looked at the pictures again, and let's just say that I am damn glad that this car is in Seattle (I used to live in Kirkland, BTW), because if it were on the eastcoast there would be a very high likelyhood that I would be the owner of two RX8s.

Really sharp car.

Thank you Corso!

Damn, I'm actually planning to relocate to the Boston area. Seems like I should have moved then sold my car! I'm really hoping to find an RX-8 enthusiast to buy my car. It's in such great shape that it deserves a new owner who will continue to appreciate it.

I use Zaino Z-16 Tire Gloss on my tires. It creates a nice finish, but it tends to build up and get sticky if you over use it. I use Zaino polishes on the body as well.

This is how it's looked since I brought it home from the dealer. I didn't specially prep it for sale. The dealer couldn't believe the condition. The mechanics gathered around to inspect it when I brought it in for service It's a great car: looks great, drives great, never broken down. I'm going to miss it. My next car has a lot to live up to.

Appreciate all the great comments! Thanks, guys!

umm....I am trying to sell my 88 rx7 FC then I will get myself a RX8 as a DD. Let me see what I can do ...

Has this car ever seen rain? Does Seattle rain more than Oregon? I am in Portland area. you said you use premix so is the oil injector (injecting into combustion chamber) plugged? sorry noob question I am coming from rx7 world, don't know too much about rx8 yet. and what's the reason for selling?

license plate is too cute BTW

Sure it's seen the rain, but it has been garaged since new. Ironically the first rain it saw was a deluge on the way to Portland, Oregon. I was surprised to find that Seattle and Portland have exactly the same annual rainfall.

I've never heard of fuel injector clogging being an issue with the RX-8. The premix is specifically designed for use in rotary engines.

I'm selling because I'm buying a new car. Finding the car with the right specification is proving challenging, though.

I ve been picturing myself taking a train to Seattle and driving this baby home. Lol. Seriously tho I gotta speed up to sell my rx7....

So what does the premix rotary fuel lube do? Do u just put it in gas tank every fill up? Is it for lubricating the apex seals?

I dont see any power addition mods so what has been tuned with the accessport?

Thanks, really love this car hopefully its still here after I get the fund ready.

The premix improves apex seal effectiveness, reduces wear and helps keep injectors clean according to Idemitsu: read more...

The mazdamaniac custom tuning with the accessport is, in my opinion, the most important thing anyone should do in terms of performance tuning for the RX-8. The Mazda PCM tuning is far from optimal in terms of performance and fuel economy. The custom tuning really made a big improvement to my car. It idles more smoothly, it accelerates better and it just pulls better in all gears. read more...

My car knows the way down to Portland, so all you'd need to do would be to point it in the right general direction

Good luck selling your 7. I had 3 nibbles today about my car, but I'd really like to sell it to a rotary enthusiast like you

Thanks, I am a long time Mazda lover and I just paid off my Mazda 6 last month and now the only auto loan I have is for my 94 FD.

I have a guy coming Sunday to look at my FC, but regardless I am gonna look into loan options. Is there a Unitus Credit Union near where you live?

I might be interested. I'm in Portland, Oregon. Waiting on my credit union to tell me what financing I'm approved for... Will let you know.
