2004 RX-8 with EXTENSIVE mods
6 Attachment(s)
Selling my RX8 after much heart break, maybe you'll have more luck than me. I've run out of patience and time and money.
2004 Yellow Manual Transmission RX-8 Upgrades: DPS Yellow 32 way coil over W/5000 miles on them Garageline headers W/5000 miles on them TurboXS Catback and down pipe W/5000 miles on them BHR ignition W/0 miles on them Cobb Accessport F1 Racing Stage 2 clutch Act flywheel Mizu performance radiator and dual 14" fan shroud Agency Power/Greddy lightweight pulley set W/0 miles Mazmart Remedy water pump W/0 miles Upgraded high amp starter W/5000 miles Upgraded high output alternator W/5000 miles Custom Katskinz yellow/black perforated leather interior W/12,000 miles Aftermarket stereo with MTX in cabin speakers and dual MTX thunder 12" subs in custom enclosure and 5 channel 800 watt amp (not sure on brand, but not a cheapie, I'll have to check and update) Simota carbon air charge intake W/5000 miles Racing Beat urethane radiator hoses W/0 miles Megan racing hardened motor mounts W/0 miles Falken summer tires W/5000 miles will update with specifics Winter rim and tire set W/1 winter's worth of use Viper car alarm and wireless key fob Fully rebuilt transmission W/5000 miles Fully rebuilt motor: new rotor housings, side and center irons, Atkins Rotary master rebuild kit (Apex, side, corner seals, etc), mild street port. New OEM MAster/slave cylinder Master cylinder brace Axial Flow short shifter The bad: dings in the drivers side front fender and door. Would be easy to fix, I purchased new OEM front fender and door shell, will include. The trunk is damaged, looks like the previous owner added the spoiler himself and did a really shitty job. Might be repairable, I purchased a used, but great shape trunk, off color, will include in sale. The really bad: the original motor lost compression and wouldn't start, I had it pulled and had the new engine installed. The really really bad: the new engine leaks oil everywhere. I'm tired and pissed and broke. I have spent, literally $20k+ in aftermarket and performance parts. I have done everything, this just needs someone to take the new motor apart and reassemble it correctly. I have located another local RX-8 shop that I wish I had found two years ago, willing to do the work. I'll be sending the car to him. If he sorts out the motor issues, I'll have mazdamaniac accessport tune the car and bump the price accordingly. Not willing to part or ship. This is for MD/DC/VA locals or anyone willing to come get the car here. Serious offers only please. Lowballers will be ignored. Feel free to ask questions. Will upload pics in the next day or so. Who installed the new motor? Is it possible to have them fix the motor since that should not happen? Unless you used the car for racing, or if the motor was installed a number of years ago, they should stand by their work. I mean I'm sure you take great care of your car, you have a huge list of upgrades. What caused the seals to leak?

The local shop that installed did not rebuild the motor. I had a builder in Texas build me the engine and ship it to me for local install. Ended up getting the new engine 8 months later than promised with the price inflated and have not been able to get ahold of himself since. With all of the mods I'll jump the price up significantly if the other shop fixes this. At the current stage, that's a lot of good aftermarket parts with low/no wear on them.

That's just ridiculous on their part! I learned after getting screwed over enough to get a written quote, that prevents them from inflating the price more then 10%. Other then that, I agree, you have great mods, most of which were hardly used with a lot that are brand new. I respect your 8, and I wish you luck in selling her!

Added photos of interior, will need to get to the shop to take more photos. Also added a couple of mods that I forgot to add before.

This car is just awesome!

Posted additional pics. Both engines pulled currently and waiting rebuild. Easily palleted and shipped or trucked to your preferred shop. Or home if you can do it yourself. Will post pics tomorrow of the additional parts that will come with sale.
