I'm the original owner of this car and thought I'd add more detail to the forum, I copied my cars.com ad that only allowed so many words.
I bought this car in 2005 with about 100 miles on the clock, it was the right color with just the go fast bits and none of the weight adding features; sport seats, a solid manual, rev happy engine, and I was good to go. Over time I upgraded the interior with leather that was professionally installed. It looks nicer, more comfortable to sit in, and easier to keep clean. A good wipe from time to time was all it took. I also wasn't a fan of the factory sport ribbed look on the oem leather seats. A greddy exhaust came a bit later; nice deep tone and bits of added power. Tein S tech springs went in next that I think drop the car 0.75 to 1", it reduced the wheel gap a bit and tightened up the overall suspension response. And that was pretty much it for a while until the Metra kit came out and I was able to add in a Kenwood DVD/GPS unit and other supporting audio parts. I only took the car to a dragstrip (Atco) twice before I realized this is really more of a driving car vs. going fast in a straight line. It's much more enjoyable driving on NJ backroads anyways which is what I did when I drove the car; always let it breathe to redline at least once when driving; rotaries prefer to be raced a bit instead of lugging around at 3k rpm all day. I'm finally parting with the car since kids came into the picture and found that I really don't have time or occasion to take it out much anymore. I'll post more pictures when I get a chance. |
