1987 Mazda RX7 w/13BREW SOLD
CAR HAS SOLD.
I am reluctantly selling my baby, that I have owned since 2000. A 10 year project that I declared done about 2 years ago. I painstakingly thought out every move ont his car, sometimes over thinking then changing what I wanted to do and what direction I wanted to take. This car has been my life for the last 12 years. It is a rock solid car I can jump into tomorrow and drive on a 2500 mile road trip, which it has made (as you will see in pictures) over and over. I will start with the car, it is a 1987 TurboII, I am the second owner, the 1st owner purchased new and ordered it without power steering and without a rear spoiler. It almost sits on the outside the way it did when new, with the exception of the hood and rims. It had 55,000 miles on it when I purchased in 2000. It was repainted 3 years ago at the cost of $4,800, at the time I purchased a brand new carbon fiber hood and had it sprayed the same as the car. Included is a RE style vented fiberglass hood and a lightweight lexan rear hatch. The interior: -The front seats were replaced with Sparco 100 reclining seats - I have 4 point harness as well, only the lap is installed for Autocrossing - Head unit is a Alpine Unit with a Bazzoka Base tube in the rear - Interior is a solid 9 out of 10 with 1 crack in the center surround above the radio and under the idiot lights. - Carpets are clean, interior is very clean and well taken care of - Windows tinted VERY dark (most likely illegal everywhere) - Racing Beat Short Shifter - Momo Steering wheel - Battery relocated to the rear passenger side of the car (where it is lightest) inside a Moroso battery box - Windshield Wiper control does typical thing, works in 1 speed only, I have spare controller that will go with car and can be sent off for rebuild. The Exterior - Enkei RPF-1 Rims 17x8 235/40/17 Falken Azenis RT-615 front / 17x9 255/45/17 Falken Azenis RT-615 rear New paint by the Rod shop in Stuart Florida photos from repaint here: https://picasaweb.google.com/1095191...CesiroMazdaRx7 - Exterior bad * When backing out of the garage I caused a very slight scratch down the side when a piece of plastic fell and leaned on the side of the car, it can be wet sanded out I never bothered. - exterior bad * someone backed into the back bumper on the drivers side scuffing it and took off. I never had it resprayed but there is a blemish. - Photos of both of above will be posted soon. - Has A/c and has been converted currently out of car but complete, can be re installed and charged, worked great. Included in sale Suspension: -Ground Control Coil overs with KYB AGX adjustable shocks 4 way front 8 way rear. -Racing Beat front and rear sway bars with adjustable end links, adjusted for driver only in car. -Rear camber link - Camber / Caster Plates in the front - The car has been on corner scales and the coil over suspension dialed in to maximize handling for Autocrossing / Track days / Mountain runs. - Car has also been on an alignment rack with driver in car to maximize handling. - Driver weight 165 lbs at time of setup. - Ground control urathane bushings installed in front end - Rear toe eliminator installed in rear Engine- 1993 13B-REW swapped in Rebuilt by JR Racing and Fabrications in Port St. Lucie in 2008 @ 80K miles in chassis. - Aggressive Street Port, - Entire intake port Matched - Entire intake ported out 20% larger - Throttle body tore down and bored out 20%+ - Custom throttle body butterfly plates https://plus.google.com/112522110885...ut?gl=us&hl=en - Collent jackets modified to better cool the spark plug area - Engine managed by a Motec M4 - Tuned by Steve Kan - Lambda purchased and unlocked Bosh 4 wire sensor included (you can tun and data log with this setup) - 850 primary 1300 secondary injectors - an10 fuel lines ron from back to front. - Aeromotive A1000 fuel pump - Aeromotive fuel pressure regulator - Aermotive fuel voltage controller - GT35R Turbo running off a T4 manifold - Titan Motorsports Turbo Blanket - Racing Beat Downpipe for an FD - Custom built resonating mid pipe - Apexi N1 cat back - Apexi AVC-R Boost Controller set to 12PSI (330RWHP) and 17PSI(460+RWHP) - Wastegate spring 10 PSI - Custom built Spearco FMIC - Custom Built Flulidyne Aluminum Radiator - Be Cool Duel electric fans - Separate circuit Relays controlling the duel fans - Mariah Motorsports cold air box - Mahiah Motorsports ducted headlight cover (painted to match with car) - K&N Filter - Nology Spark Plug Wires (using FC coil packs) - Mazdapeed engine mounts - Oil injection removed / Premix only Drivetrain - - New Mazda Factor Transmission installed at 70K miles on chassis - Act Extreme Pressure Plat and sprung 6 puck clutch - SR Motorsports 9# Flywheel - Custom build rear Diff brace - Rear Diff rebuild @ 70K miles Brakes - - Powerslot Front Rotors OEM Rears - EBC Brake Pads - Motul RBF500 Brake Fluid - Brand New Master Cylinder (installed 100 miles ago) - Brand new Brake Booster I am sure I am forgetting much more, but this will get the point across, this is a well thought out and solid car with a very tight engine and straight body. This is a finished project with over $60,000 invested, or thrown away, depending if you are my wife or I looking at this. This is a car you could buy today and drive cross country without reservation. PPI's welcome!! Here are a couple of pictures, I am going to take a ton and upload them this weekend detailing every inch of this car. Awesome - GLWS. Your car is an inspiration.
The big question is: what will repalce it? Next to this monster, most anything else will seem tame! ;) |
I've been kicking around the idea of what would be a better scenario, dump $$$ into the 8 or pick up a cheap FC and start there.
