Hi all - I purchased this beauty new in December '05 and use it as a weekend getaway car. It has lived in my garage the rest of the time. I'm moving to a new place, but no garage so I am looking to find my baby a new home. It still has the original Bridgestone tires, so I'll either buy new Kumho's for it or credit you if you want to pick your own poison. Here's a rundown:

Car has all options loaded except NAV
Black leather interior, still smells like new.
Added iPod connector in glove compartment.
Added clear corners, red calipers and fender strakes.
Added K&N filter.

Asking $20K.

are you the one i see around town and on garren creek all the time?! i usually see either your car or another white one with two hot girls in it...

tominavl 12-12-2007 06:44 AM

No, that's not me, though I think I've seen that one around town...

I live in the Haw Creek neighborhood, and I'd probably be arrested if my neighbors caught me carrying a couple of hot girls - as I have no daughters...

i_am_justin 12-14-2007 04:08 AM

oh how i want to buy a white one so so badly :(

tominavl 12-14-2007 07:12 AM

...of course that could be arranged...where do you live? I'm open to delivery.

I'm not in a rush to sell it, I posted it here to get a "feel" for interest. I own 2 other cars and it just doesn't make sense to keep a 3rd vehicle around, especially since I'll be giving up the garage in the Spring.

In the meantime I plan to keep it garaged through the bad weather, though I'll take it out on sunny days.

While I am ASKING $20K, I'm open to offers...

This car is in great condition and still has that "new car" smell. No one has ever smoked or eaten in it.

I realize that I'm located far from where most interested buyers are, but I can arrange delivery if you prefer.

The tires will definitely need to be replaced, so if you have a preference on those, now is a great time to negotiate!

I forgot to mention in the original description that it has red calipers.

In my opinion....that's a very good buy

good luck in the sale. Sweet ride!

tominavl 01-06-2008 07:37 AM

Thanks man,

This isn't a great time of year to try and sell, so interest isn't very high.

I've had it locked in the garage for the past week or so, as we had snow and ice storms here in the mountains.

It's not a very good Winter car, so maybe someone further South or West will pick it up.

Of course every time I take it out I change my mind and want to keep it...:)

Not having credit sucks

mmats69 01-12-2008 06:05 PM

Replacing the tires may help you out some. I personally wouldn't buy a car knowing I'd have to put another 500+ into it right off the bat in tires.

20k is a good starting price. I'd say 19k firm because of the low miles and the car being garage kept. If you opt not to replace tires be prepared to come off the price some more.

At least you know this isn't a good time to be selling. I was gonna say not to get offended if you don't sell right away or get lowball offers.

tominavl 01-13-2008 07:53 AM

The only reason I'm holding off buying tires is so the new owner will get to choose. And I'll pay for them of course.

And I would accept an offer of $19K with new tires. I can't give it away, but I hope it will go to someone who will take good care of it...I love this car.

I definitely agree that demand for this car will be better in the Spring, so in the meantime I take it out once in awhile, weather permitting.

Mileage is now a tad over 17,000.

mmats69 01-13-2008 08:27 AM

Since you'll be picking up the tab on the new tires don't budge off 19k. Car looks too good and has low mileage.

Solidtrance 01-28-2008 12:27 AM

bump for a great deal...

tominavl 02-09-2008 06:14 PM

New Price: $18.5 New Mileage: 18.5K

I think I'll be getting new tires next - it's time!

This car is well cared for and hopefully will get to an appreciative new owner.

tominavl 03-01-2008 07:03 AM

Selling a car on this forum is more difficult than I thought. The car is still up for grabs and I am moving in a month so is anyone interested?

I have not posted this car on any other sites as I was hoping to keep the sale open to RX-8 enthusiasts, not just anyone out there.

Soooo...bump for a chance to get my car a new home.
