Zaino on rims

has anyone used zaino on their rims yet? If so how did they look?

MDRX8 07-22-2005 12:44 PM

No but I use Klasse sealant glaze .... keeps brake dust off better than anything I have used.

Brice-RX8 07-22-2005 02:28 PM

you can use Zaino on the factory wheels, they are painted like the rest of the car. Makes them shine a little bit better and keeps them protected.

I Zaino'd today and put two coats on the factory wheels - looks great! :)

Wheels are something that just needs constant maintence. Don't waist your time with Zaino, use regualr wash and wax along with a good chrome cleaner.

I Zainoed my wheels and the brake dust just 'dusts' off with a small California duster.

We Floridians think so much alike ;) I zaino mine often and dust them every night with the mini Cali. Duster. :D

I used Meg's Gold Class wax that I had laying around on my rims. It doesn't so much make them look cleaner or better shine, but it makes removing brake dust easier since it doesnt builds up on top of the wax, not the wheel. I just wipe over my wheels with my dust mitt and they come out great.

klasse sealant glaze

Use klasse sealant glaze and you won't have to worry about dusting every night.

Keep in mind that brake dust has a significant percentage of metal from the brake rotors. take a magnet to a dirty wheel and you'll see it easily attracts the brake dust.

Exactly, that's why I use Zaino. It keeps most of the dust from sticking to the wheels, and I use one (small) California Duster just for the wheels. In two years and 30k miles they look better than new.

FWIW - I had the original brake pads replaced with the newer ones a while back and there is one tenth the amount of brake dust than before.

Zaino works great on wheels, but I would not use it on my paint.
It also works great on my lawn mower.

I Zaino my paint, wheels, and windows/mirrors. The only things I don't put Zaino on are the black molding.

Baller 08-02-2005 04:42 PM

It also works good as sun tan lotion, and if you drink it your hair will shine for a year.
