Water spots and scrtches/ swrils
i have a black 07, absoloutly beautifull. well except for the water spots that wont come off and the swirls in the paint. can anyone know how to remedy these probems?
damn, i wasnt so picky bout this stuff till i got my 8, funny aint it? |
You'll need to add Z-PC to that and some type of random orbit polisher and pads. Other than that, that kit has you covered.

If your not familiar working with all these products, try and find someone who is and learn from them. Otherwise if you want to do it yourself, your going to spend alot of money on products. At least $180.
Also, when it is done be sure to never just hose off your car and let it dry, as well as letting it dry under direct sunlight. The chemicals in tap water dried on the surface are usually the cause of water spots. |
ive used mothers claybar before ive polished it and it still looks terrible i dont know what im doing wrong, my roomate uses the same stuff and his paint looks great, its so frustrating to spend 3hrs on ur car and har it turn out crappy

A fine polishing compound will remove the water spots, less then $8 at Wal Mart. Follow up with your favoriate wax. Don't wash in the sun, always dry the car after washing and wax regularly will go a long way in preventing spots.

claybar is your friend. Make sure you have the area well lubricated when using the bar.
If you have lots of swirl marks, try a swirl remover. (pick one at your local auto parts store) Have your roommate help you??? |
Put a couple of cap fulls of distlled water in a cup.
Then wash. |
