Water in my Tail lights
 

lately i noticed i have alot of water in my passenger taillight how do i get it out easily?

By searching

Pull the tail light out, let it dry completely then replace the gasket behind it. Re-install the tail light and all your problems will be gone. There are several DIY's on this here.

Or you could go about things the redneck way and drill drainage holes in your light, and hope that the inside of your tail lights never get hazy from exposure to the elements.

Socket's advice is dead on.
I would not drill holes if it were my car.

why cant you just fill the tail lights with water so you dont have to worry about gaskets maybe get some fish

what i did was take the light off and place it over a dehumidifier and let it dry (takes a while)
while it was drying i cleaned the gasket with a old toothbrush (might as well) then i just glued the gasket on with some good adhesive. i think it was called goop. then just reinstall i works well but if you ever want to get the gasket off again i dont think its happening.

you can buy the redesigned gasket from Mazda for about $20.

yeah taht would actually be worth it instead of making your own for 10 dollars

i poured alcohol in mine...........drained it and let it dry.....no water marks.....gl

something like that...might be a little more if you go to the dealer rather than through Mazda Motorsports. either way, it's better than epoxying your taillight to the car.

the part numbers are in the TSB, and you can find that on the finishline site. there is a redesigned gasket and a secondary "pad".

Where can I get the gaskets for $20?! I went to my local Mazda dealer and they wanted _$40_ each side for the TSB gasket kit! I'd pay $20 for both sides, but $80 is insane...

MAKE YOUR OWN! ive done it 3 times. go buy some tool box drawer liner. pull out your tailight. use the current gasket as a template, cut one out, and lay it over the current gasket. bam, problem solved. 5 dollars, and you can make them for other ppl since you have a whole roll.

I used the origional with lots of silicone, ghetto but it works! Just don't be like me and over tighten the screw pulling the stud out of the plastic. It took a machine screw/wingnut/ and epoxy to fix that screw up...

Actually just buy the updated gasket if you can find it for $20.
