Various bulb sizes...

does anybody have any info on the bulb sizes for all of the bulbs in the 8? namely the hi-beams, front and rear turns and the side markers...but i'm looking for internal lighting as well.

i know that those sizes are standards...just wondering if anyone knew what they used in our car.

thanks

p.s. - also, what brands do u guys like best when it comes to aftermarket lighting (xenon bulbs, colored interior bulbs, etc.)?

Well, at least on the GT package, it comes with the HID lights (which are almost all xenon bulbs), so if you've got that, I wouldn't think you'd need to replace them. As for bulb sizes, I haven't a clue...

I've never seen colored interior bulbs, I don't think- I wouldn't recommend the fake-colored xenons in the headlights however- there are too many studies out now showing that 1)they produce less light than regular halogens, and 2)they cause weird glares for oncoming traffic, which is partially why so many people think they hate HIDs.

This probably didn't help you much, sorry

Likely as with other Mazdas, the low beam will be a 9006, the high beam 9005.

And I agree with Elara, the aftermarket 'xenon filled' bulbs are TERRIBLE. They throw less light, and in weathery situations (rain, snow etc), you can't see 10 feet in front of you.

Stick with the halogens for the low and high beams. Interior lights they have some neat ones that I've seen in a BMW 745i as stock... maybe they'll be available aftermarket as well.

I'm not a fan of colored interior lights.. a cop pulls you over and he will never let you go

herc...that first comment is an understatement! i don't know how many times friends have been in my car when it's raining and told me to turn my lights on!

i figured the heads would be 9005/9006...thanks for the confirmation. (i won't have to worry about them since i'm getting the HIDs with the GT pkg. )

i've got red interior lighting in my venge right now. goes well with my silver/red illum. gauges. :D ...cops don't seem to mind here.

guess i'll wait til the ride arrives and RTFM for the other bulb sizes.

thnx again
