Touch Up Paint
I put on some touch up paint today, but i got a tiny bit of excess smeared about. It's dry by now. Any way to take it off?

I've used Goof Off on a q-tip to clean up excess touch up paint. It dissolves paint right away, but it doesn't appear to hurt the clear coat at all, so the only thing it will remove is the touch up paint. Just an fyi, though, it will remove any polish/wax you have on your paint.
Also, I've only used it in small amounts on a smal area so just be careful and test it on an inconspicuous area first. I have a white 8 and it worked great, but I dont know if it will harm other colors. |
Great! where do i get it?

Mazda dealer.

You can get Goof Off at Home Depot, Lowes or whatever. It's not hard to find.

i have a few scratches on the hood (flying debris on freeway) . tried a bit of touch up paint on it, but it did look like it was too much excess as well... is there a better way to put the paint on instead of the little applicator in the bottle it comes with? or does everyone just put it on the damaged area and use this goof off for the excess?

Some people use toothpicks and just hit it with multiple layers.

Polishing also works. Use the fine stuff from your Auto parts store.

You can also get the langka blob eliminator to wipe off the excess paint. www.langka.com
