Looks awesome! How many coats did you put on?
How about an all car shot to see the whole thing? BTW, lookds awesome from what can be seen. Cant wait to do my titanium gray next weekend.
That looks amazing.
Great job and glad to see the hard work paid off.:) |
Looking DAMN good. Now we HAVE to get together here in SoFL!

New Car Color
Can you let me know where on the order form chrome is for a color?! :) Looks AWESOME!
Here's a 3/4 view.
Z1: 2 thin coats. Z2: 3 thin coats. I let it bake in the sun for 1.5 hours. Since the sun was at an angle I turned the car around after 45 minutes. In a futile effort, this morning I grabbed my car cover and threw it in the trunk as it was supposed to rain today. It rained on my way to work lol. |
O - M - G ! ! !
How did Zaino last after some rain could u do a before and after segment ?
Depending on my weekend schedule I am planning on doing my 8 this weekend (red not black so it will almost assuredly be less dramatic) but I can do before Zaino and after Zaino shots with my digicam.
omg dude, thats freking nuts...i need to get some of that stuff, i just waxed my car and it thought that looked incredible, but after seeing the sheen and DEPTH zaino puts on...lets just say it doesnt compare lol
________ FIX PS3 |
Why did you use 2 coats of Z-1? You should use some Z5 between your coats of Z-2 because its supposed to really look good on black. Looks awesome though....just like my black M6.
I've got three coats of McGuires on. Do I need to strip it off before doing the Zaino thing? Or can I just apply it over the wax? Any advice is appreciated.
You will need to wash the car with Dawn to strip the wax off of the car before applying Zaino.
Thanks for the advice. My 8 is black so it looks fantastic clean, but ugh, it's a constant effort to keep it that way. I'm thinking that going the Zaino route may be best. Should help me build up my biceps too.
To save yourself some grief, might I suggest you just wait for the WAX to wear off? You already did all the work, and it looks good, so wait a few months and then Zaino it instead of re-waxing.
Good point Genom, except up here in PA it will be getting pretty cold soon and Zaino seems to be very temperature sensitive. I ordered the starter kit, got special towels, so I think I'll enjoy the wax shine for a couple weeks, then do-the-zaino.

Oh man...now that is shiny! Good job.:D
THAT"S why I picked the black....It looks InZaino!!!
Used Dawn (three times) then the full Zaino treatment. Looks like its been coated in clear oil. Beautiful.
Superfan: I thought I read the Zaino directions that said not to put more than three coats of Z2, Z5 in a 24 hour period. Yet it didn't seem to bother your results. Also, I don't think baking in the sun will make any difference. With the accelerator, when it's dry, it's done (about 15 minutes). For what it's worth... |
By any chance can you repost the pics. I never got a chance to see them, and am curious to see how Zaino works on black.
Thanks |
