Paste wax with PC7336 Orbital??

Just bought a can of NXT paste wax, and have applied 3 coats to the shinka since.

After reading the benefits and ease of using an orbital--the 7336 will be bought this weekend:) . I read in another thread here that people have used paste (vs. liquid) with orbital waxers/buffers.

1. What method is used to apply the paste to the pad of the orbital?
2. I assume that unlike polishing, one would only use the orbital to apply the paste(or liquid if need be) wax, and then buff off by hand with an appropriate microfiber towel?

Thanks for the help.

1. Don't know about that one...I use liquid wax with an orbital
2. You are correct. I usually wait about 15 minutes before wiping the wax off after applying it with an orbital. It's supposed to work better that way, or so I've heard.

Here is a tip to find out when the wax is ready to be removed. Take your finger tip and swipe it over the wax and if it comes off you are ready to remove the wax.

I use stuff I have at work made by Malco. It's called nano care polishing creme. Works amazing on dark colored cars. My car is sunlight silver, but it shines it up nice and water beads up on it for a long time in between washing.

1 - you have two options here you can turn the can upside down and slide the wax out and rub it on your pad. or you can use a spatula and "butter" your pad with the wax

2 - wax can most certainly be removed by machine, in fact, it is actually a lot easier. buy yourself a cutting pad and a microfiber bonnet. the stiffness of the cutting pad will allow the bonnet to remove the wax better. after you do that, then you can go around with a MF and clean up any spots you may have missed.

I usually slide the paste wax right out of the container and rub it over the pad. the paste I use is p21s and it's great because it does not dry white. Apply and turn the orbital to about 1-2000 rpm and coat section by section. Yea the orbital makes it extremely easy. Use a buffing cloth or microfiber towel to wipe off.
