Paint Issue

So here is the problem...There are several spots on my hood not as shiny and smooth as the rest of the car. When looking at these spots under direct sunlight they look whitish or less red. Do you think this is clear coat failure or oxidization?

Just FYI I wash my car often and wax it twice a year. At the place I live since August there is no shade. So after I finish working (where I park my car in a deck) the car is exposed to sun.

I am planning to clay, polish (Color X), and wax (NXT 2.0) and see if I can fix the problem. If the problem persists I might jump into Swirl X or Ultimate Compound. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

^Thanks for your reply. That is not my bumper. It is my driver's side fender. So anything I can do to fix it? Will any of the products I listed on my previous post have a positive effect?

Does it look like this in person?

If so, it's most likely oxidation, it can be buffed with with a dual action buffer + polish.
Or hire a decent detailer to do some spot repair.

^Yes that is exactly how it looks. I was thinlking to clay, polish, and wax and see if it gets better. I guess, since I am not an expert, I will do a spot test and if the results are satisfying I will do it for the rest of the car. In case my spot test does not look better I will look for a detailer.

Thanks

needs a good buff job, wax wont cut it. Look for 3M Perfect It 3000 rubbing compound and finish up with 3M Trizact polishing compound. It will have a gorgeous shine after it's all said and done!
