NEW wax from Eagleone

I used this new wax with Nano technogly it works real good. I only put one coat on so i will take a pic once i get 2 more coats on.

We have tried to discuss this product before here, but you're the only person I know on this forum who's actually used it. Let us know how it works in the long run. From what I have read on Autopia, Nano isn't very good in the durability area.

Hmmm, as markd says, Eagle1's Nanowax is not new, been on the market for almost a year. I thought I'd written about it, but apparently not on this forum (I did on Miataforum).

I used Nanowax on my Audi and RX-8 back in May (used NXT on my Miata). Great results from both in terms of appearance and ease of application, but not sure about the durability.

I've been using this stuff on my S2000 since I bought the car in April and couldn't get Meguire's NXT when I tried. It's wonderful--goes on easy, comes off easy, leaves a stunning shine, and lasts a long time.

For reasons which escape me, my wife thinks her RX-8 is much better looking than my S2000. :p I washed my S2k alongside my wife washing her RX-8 last weekend, then I waxed my S2k with Nanowax, while she didn't wax. Even she was pea-green with envy after she saw the ultra-shiny car next to her RX-8 in the garage.

I highly recommend this product, especially since, as I understand it, it is a non-abrasive--it fills in the tiny imperfections, rather than "sanding" them down.

Interesting... I've actually read the durability of the Nano wax isn't that good, but if your bottle lasts, then maybe it's a quality control problem at Eagle...??? How long do you go between waxes, S2k?

Well, I bought my car in April; while the weather was good (meaning until perhaps October, I typically washed it each weekend and waxed it once a month. It certainly held its shine well for that period, and water (we have lots of that in Seattle) beaded up perfectly.

Once the icky weather set in, I wash it much less frequently, and, since I live on a dirt road (this is the wild West), the car gets pretty dirty. Nevertheless, the car still washed off beautifully, and water still beads perfectly. I waxed it last week for the first time since the fall, and, before waxing, the water still beaded up very well.

I think what we may have here is the difference between someone who waxes to protect his car (me), and those who always want their car to be a showpiece (not me). I will never use Zaino, or other labor-intensive products, just because I really don't care that much. The wax protects the finish to some extent, and makes the car look better, but I do think that it's just a car--a very nice car, which I enjoy very much, but just a car.
