Mazdaspeed shift knob

I need to know how to clean this thing.. it seems to get dry when I use isopropyl.. it is made of urethane... I really don't like when it feels rough so I need something that is going to give it some moisture... it gets like a white film on it, or more like dusty kinda but it sticks to the knob... its hard to describe and I guess if you own one I'm asking for what you use. This is the black mazdaspeed knob for the RX-8... any help would be greatly appreciated

Hit it with a citrus cleaner to remove the ash and then follow up with 3M interior cleaner/detailer for leather and vinyl. It makes urethane parts smooth and clean without being oily or slick.

thanks a lot, I'll try that this weekend. What kind of citrus cleaner would you reccomend? like a foam or something?

I was wondering the same thing.

Whatever you guys do don't use Mother's Back to Black on it.

Doesn't work, drys it out a bit. I'll be trying these methods and may lay a little bit of paint in the Mazdaspeed logo :)

^ LOLOL! mothers black to black on leather! haha. only use leather cleaners and conditioners on leather materials... EX: lexol, zaino, etc.
