I have been using it for years, and love the stuff.. gives an excellent shine !
not good in the rain though. liquid glass inside. rain-x outside. i use rain-x wipes. you wipe them on, they dry cloudy, and you buff it out like wax. rain flies off. its better than the wax on my paint. perfect with rain-x wipers
Wha? Not good in the rain? It beads like a slave labor worker making childrens necklaces... Rain-x... on your paint?
yeah liquid glass is for the paint, not the windshield.
Liquid Glass is old school and requires the use of some muscle but there is not denying that it's some of the best wax I've used.
Although I'd like to Liquid Glass, I get lazy and do Turtle Wax Ice because of time restraints. Natural carnubas don't compare to Liquid Glass IMHO and Liquid Glass lasts a bit longer. Carnuba does smell nice though.... |
I've used Liquid Glass for over 15 years on many cars. It really is an excellent polymer based wax. But for my VR paint nothing beats a final coat of Natty's Paste Wax blue! I love the depth and the amount of flake it produces.
BTW - a search helps. ;) Welcome to the forum. https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...t=Liquid+Glass http://www.altspace.com/rx8/lomo/mjlomo1.jpg |
lol altspace, you're like an advertisement for that wax, haha.
i just used some of this stuff today. i wonder if i am using too much. there are white flakes everywhere and its really hard to get off. its in the "baking" stage right now. I'm gonna use some mequiars cleaner wax followed by some gold class after that.
It doesnt take much... spread it thin, but throughly... dont rush it...give it time to haze over good, then it wipes right off..
Does sound like you are using too much. |
AH i was talking about INVISIBLE GLASS BAHHHH. sorry. leave me out of this hahaha.
just finished applying the cleaner wax. its as smooth as glass now. i didn't have time to put the gold glass on there today though. most of the white flakes blew off or wiped off when i was waxing.
Also depends on humidity and temperature levels. Liquid Glass is a top coat. You applied a cleaner wax after?

i hate turtle wax.. i cant get the stuff off. I end up driving around for a week with little white bits all over until i wash it the following weekend.
meguiars gold paste was better and easier... I just bought some gold liquid.. going to give it a shot, and try alternating paste and liquid and compare. So... someone puts rainx on their paint?? I dont even rainx the glass... turtle wax rubbing compound + steel wool on glass, scrub in, let dry, buff off... amazing finish, like new glass, and when it rains, you'd think the glass were lubed. |
