I just use Mazda leather cleaner that I purchased from rosenthal. It does a great job IMO.

Anything rubber or vinyl based, I always start with a coating of Aerospace 303 so that the surface is actually protected. For the interior, I then follow up with a coating of the new Armor All gel surface protectant to give the dash a bit of a shine...it's pretty good and isn't particularly messy or too shiny.

Meguiar's Quick Interior Detail works good, leaves no fake shine. Leather I use Zaino Z9 and Z10. Carpets I just vacuum.

... for leather 202 aerospace protectant only protects but it doesnt condition. youre going to need leather dressings with protects and conditions (kinda like sunscreen and lotion in one). i use Lexol leather cleaner on leathers then i use lexol conditioners which protects and conditions.

armor all is bad because it doesnt have much protection and it tends to dry out leather and plastics over time. it gives a slippery and shiney (not the kind of shine you would like... more like greasey reflecting the sun glare kinda shine). slippery is bad because you dont want to slide all over your chair, panels, shift knob, and steering wheel. its cheap for a reason.

for plastics you dont need to condition it. you can wipe and apply 303 aerospace protectant (which is the one of the best and longest lasting protectant).

for cleaning the interior you can use diluted woolite in a spray bottle (1oz mixed with 1 1/2+ cups of water) to clean and prep the surface of the interior for conditioning and protecting. it works on leather (its actually as gentile and effective as you can get to cleaning leathers).

I'm a believer

I just purchased the Zaino leather cleaning/conditioning products after reading all the posts, and I am a firm believer in their products now. Although it takes away the new car smell for a while (and no, the products don't smell bad at all), my leather is clean as can be. I used to use the wipes from some of the other products, and this is 100% times better IMO. Well worth the $$$.

A lot of "leather" in the answers, but OP said "I'm not talking seats or leather."

For non-leather interior cleanup, I find a microfiber cloth, dampened with just a bit of distilled water, cleans up nicely and traps the dust. No need for potions, imho.

I actually use the OXO Mini Car Duster to pick up the dust from the interior. It works excellently. It leaves the odd paraffin smear, but that doesn't matter because I then follow up by wiping over the whole interior with Meguair's Quik Interior Detailer.

I prefer Megs Interior Detailer because it has no shine or finish of any kind and leaves your interior looking absolutely stock. In fact it's so good, that you can't tell where you've been, so it's important to have a nice thorough methodical approach.

For the carpets, I just vacuum those. I've also treated the carpets and mats with 303 Hi Tech Fabric Guard which works brilliantly. Water just beads on top of the carpet.

You did say you don't need info for seats, but I'd just like to mention Zaino Z9 and Z10 for the benefit of those that have leather.
