Groove behind shifter--Secrets to cleaning?
Does anyone have an inventive method to clean the rounded edge/groove behind the shifter boot? Dust and grit like to collect behind there. I tried a q-tip but the head is too big.

Air nozzle..:D and Vacuum

An interior cleaning brush. It's kind of like a small paint brush or BBQ basting brush :D Make sure it's really soft

Thanks for the suggestions. Since the vacuum I use is clearly inadequate, I'll try a brush of some sort.

Brush works well, now that I have one. Before, I'd use the edge of a paper towel.

You might try a few bursts from a can of compressed air -- the type used to blow dust out of electronic components.

I'd stay away from the corner of the paper towel idea....I did that and have a little piece of paper towel stuck in the corner of the groove. bummer!
