Good wax

i usually dont wax my car i just take it up to a car wash and let them do it but it was a nice day today after a long week of snow so i decided to spend some quality time with my 8. So i went up to autozone and asked the guy what he recommended and picked up some turtle wax ice. It comes in a little kit with a micro cloth rag the wax and an applicator, and for a great price $18. Well i spent a good 1/2 hour rubbing the stuff on and the end result is amazing, it was very easy to do and my car shines like crazy. Its like looking in a mirror all around the car. Anyway just thought i would share my opinion, good product to use if your just starting to get into cleaning your car yourself

There's a few people who like it, but from all of the information I've gathered, ICE is quick and easy, but don't expect it to last very long.

You let other people wash your car? You're a brave man Chase.

I've got some TW ICE and use it, primarily, as a quick detailer. I don't think it's meant to protect much. It's great on the grey, unpainted, parts and even good in the interior. A good combo would be to use some ICE over something like Meguiar's Tech Wax. Then you'd get a nice shine over a deep'er reflection, IMHO.

Do you let the ICE "soak" or just wipe it off after you've rubbed it on?

ah daniel-san, wax on, wax off. Circles, daniel-san, circles.

lol, I couldn't help myself. Liquid glass is nice as a detailer as well. I like to use it on the paint on my console and passthrough.

no i put it on in the front then worked my way back and by then by the time im done with the sides and back the front has dried for a few mins and its ready to wipe off ya i could tell it probly wont last long but its good for a cheap quick easy wax

it's great stuff, easy too, just remember first rain will wash it off, it's a detailer, not a wax. if you have the time put a coat of normal wax on first, nxt, turtle wax, whatever, then maybe the next day put a coat of ice on top, comes out perfect

Also If you want a really nice smooth shine... Clay bar Grasshopper.
makes it easier to wax, wash and wax again... Plus gets rid of environmental crap thats stuck on the paint.
