"Gold" Racing Beat Exhaust Tips - Not Any More!
1 Attachment(s)
Like a lot of people have mentioned here before, my RB exhaust tips had turned a sickening yellowish gold color. Never-Dull works OK but just made them a shiney gold. After some serious searching, I have found a product that worked on them.
This is some pretty serious stuff. Gloves are recommended. It is made for stainless steel exhausts and it's description states that it removes gold discoloration. Very easy to apply and remove. Lots of black oxidation on the cloth. My tips now look just like new again. I took some pics but they did not do justice in my opinion. THIS PRODUCT WORKS - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. http://www.englishcustompolishing.co...hotchrome.html |

English Custom Polish
English Custom Polish "Hot Chrome" worked great getting the golding off of my Greddy SP2 exhaust.
Thanks Low Fly'n 8. I ended up getting the 4-pack value set and like the other polishes for my aluminum engine caps and Stainless Steel Strakes. Works better than the Mothers Billet Polish that costs $14.99 for a small tub. |

Been meaning to oder this, just a few quick questions:
Did you polish the inside of the tips also? (they look pretty clean) What kind of rags did you use? Just plain old gargae type rags? How often do you have to polish them to keep them looking like that? |
Mother's Billet Metal Polish works wonders as well. From my experience, works both on the Racing Beat and HKS exhausts. Usually last for about 2 months or so, then the gold creeps back in.

I'm still waiting to see the dyno sheets on these products

|
Suprisingly, "waxing" them with zaino does exactly the same thing.
