Good job, how long did it take you? I did that once a few months back it took like 4 hours!

guy321: First wash & dry (45min), then clay-bar (120min), then wax (180min)...

Total: 5:45min (Do it once every 3 months...) Then once a week a 45min wash and dry, and every other week a quick wax... When needed a quick detail...

CortC - what are you using on the black molding on the car? Such as bottom half of side mirrors & lower bumper? Pic #7 is freakin incredible!

guy321 05-26-2004 10:01 PM

I tend to get wax on these areas, I use back to black by meguiers and it looks good as new!

poolsidenaz: Actually, nothing... After I wash I make sure not to get any wax on it then just wipe it down with the same cloth I use to buff out the quick detailer...

Abdel's RX8 05-31-2004 01:31 AM

where did you get the wing from?

pullinteef 06-01-2004 09:47 PM

gotta give my recommendation to the Mothers back to black - it works really great on the plastic parts that accumulate wax and stuff.

cortc 06-01-2004 10:45 PM

The wing is the Mazdaspeed...

The wax job looks great! But I am curious about your awesome wheels. What brand/model are they?

Morgan 06-04-2004 03:31 PM

I love when you get the shine from the sun and the car goes, "bling" hehehehe :)

cortc 06-06-2004 08:05 AM

I noticed that your brake covers are corroded a little bit. Mine have done the same thing when I applied the wheel cleaner that takes all the brake dust off and other grime.

Is there any way to replenish the cover to its original state? Or do you think I could paint over it?

cortc 06-06-2004 10:26 PM

Painted mine....

RotorManiac 06-08-2004 07:51 PM

sorry, stupid question: what is clay-bar?

xxdevilzeroxx 06-15-2004 01:54 PM

i was just about to ask that

cortc 06-15-2004 02:46 PM

It is a system that is used to remove embedded contaminates from your paint... It consist of a piece of clay and some form of lubricant, as you rub the clay on the paint after applying the lubricant it removes the contaminates and leaves the paint ready for further detailing such as polish and/or wax...
