Exhaust Tips

Had my after market exhaust now for like 4 months roughly. I keep them clean as much as i can but ive noticed that the tips feelll bumpy. As if theres like little pieces of rocks attached to them. Anyone know how to get the tips to feel smooth again ?? Maybe a claybar ?? Also my tips are titanium finished ... will a claybar be too abrasive and remove the ti finish ?
Thanks

I know it says chrome, but also says any metal.

I use it on my RB exhaust and still swear by it(it is not Ti) however.............. But there are many others.
I know the grit or bumps you are talking about, and this will remove them.

I did E-mail them to see what they might say about titanium exhaust tips however........we will see what they say.

I remove the grit with Nevr-Dull, then polish. My exhaust is over 4 years old and still looks new.

sorry to bump my old thread but been slacking on keeping my tips clean and the edges and insides are turning black :(. Any products that are SAFE for the titanium finish i can use ?? Preferbly local from canadian tire cause i dont have time to get products shipped as i need to clean them for an upcoming meet lol.

Just a stupid ehow thing I found. I doubt it will work for harsh environment of exhaust, but its worth a try. Its all house hold things you may have around.

even if it comes off you can just put it back on, the titanium blue finish. IF its real titanium..... just heat it up with a blowtorch and make however much blue finish you want.

yep i believe so, read all this on a 350z forum i believe... Then finish up with a metal polish id imagine.. maybe.

steel wool takes it off then you heat it up to get back the blue finish. though make sure your tip is actual Ti and not painted on lol

sorry to revive this thread but my MS exhaust gets really black and dirty from having a midpipe on. How can I safely remove the black dirt from there and restoring the shiny stainless steel?

I also am from Canada and wouldnt mind if anyone had any local products i could find lets say at canadian tire.

Brasso and super fine steel wool. They will look like new.
