crystal guard still around?

Anyone using the crystal guard product?

i tried to buy some from their website but it didn't seem to be working. Any help would be appreciated.

They are dead.

Back in February I exchanged emails with Jim Campos, the previous store manager in Mountain View, CA. He said the company does not get any more inventory, they might sell what they have left but then they will close the door.
I tried to contact them via the email on the Web site inquiring what's up with them. A woman responded once claiming that the company is still alive. Then I asked what will happen with my 3-times-a-year CG Quick reapplication warranty that was part of the deal when I got CG Professional applied. Needless to say, all my emails got ignored from that moment on. :(

Oups, they are out? I have one bottle only left.... Oh well, some time after next year, it will be next to wax... Can handle that, given no other choice ;)

Use Zaino, it's been around for many years and it works great!

Only the INITIAL PREP takes time, once you put the first layer of Zaino on, the rest go on and come off like butter.

Any 'WAX' you choose will require some kind of paint prep that consists of Stripping old wax(es) and claybar or paint scrub (polish) and then application of final product.

Crystal Guard alternatives

I was also using Crystal Guard and was quite satisfied about it (well, it was quite hard to apply though).

When I heard of them going out of business, I started looking at existing alternatives.

I first found and ordered Liquid Glass which I received yesterday, and I'll try by the week-end...

Then I found Glare AutoPolish that supposedly contains GlassPlexin (plexiglas ?), and that look much like Crystal Guard was. Could they be the same base products ?

Anyway, there are lots of car detailing techniques available all around the world... ;)
