cloudiness after waxing... ??
i washed and waxed my car today and it looks kinda cloudy in certain spots after i was done.... i was wondering if someone could tell me what exactly i'm doing wrong.. i don't really know how to explain it except if i buff it some more i can eventually get the cloudiness out... also i used a random orbital waxer to buff the excess wax off... any held would be appreciated... thanks in advance...

That just sounds like you have a spot that had too much wax applied. Go over it with a microfiber cloth and remove the wax.

forget about using wax, try Zaino or Meguiars NXT or any of the new polymer polishs/protectants. They are easier to apply, NEVER cloud up and last much longer.

is turtle wax 2001 good? the green colored 1s

Wax and polymers will both give you cloudy residue if you apply too much and don't wipe them off completely. Be it Turtle wax or Zaino.

i'm in texas... but it was raining the whole weekend and finally let up today... it was cloudy the whole day so i decided to wash and wax... i didnt know humidity affected waxing.. so is the meguirs nxt wax something i have to order online like zaino or can i just go to pep boys and buy it... i would like to try zaino but my budget limits me somewhat...
should i wax again or start all over and wash and wax... and can i use a wash that doesn't take off the wax??? |
If you're using a polymer, washing the car really isn't going to get rid of anything.

you, wash the car using DAWN dish washing soap to remove the wax, but you will have to wash it with a regular car wash and then wax it ASAP. You could try this first: Mix 10% alchohol and 90% water in a spray bottle and spray it on your clouded wax, and then wipe off. It might just work.
