Is there a preferred method for removing chrome from the various plastic emblems? Lots of YouTube videos recommend soaking plastic bits (from other cars) in Zep Purple cleaner to dissolve the chome. I bought an extra set of RX8 emblems off eBay to test this. It did a good job of removing glue from the back of the plastic, but had no effect on the color, so I'm guessing there is some form of clear coat on top of the chrome. Might try acetone next, but that usually gums up the surface on any exposed plastic, so I'm not a fan.
