Buying an RX-8 Checklist

So I am in the process of acquiring an 8, but don't have one to my name yet. I've researched all the sport coups and I'm sold. It also helps that my roomate owns an 04 GT. Anyways. I am going to go out of state to buy a specific 8 I've been inquiring about...mostly because the market in the Pacific Northwest is way more $$ than most of the country, and also because a small road trip in a new car sounds fun (both my roomate and I are going). Anyways, when I get there I'm going to check the car out and don't want to miss anything. Can you guys think of anything I should check besides the obvious? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Your posting in the wrong section. But try reading all the stickys in red on this web site.
Also more info about the car will help. IE: 2004 AT or 2005 MT whats the location of the car so you can look for rust ect.

if your roommate owns one they are probably your greatest asset.
Have them drive and inspect the car, and compare it to the one they own.

also, read the stickies for info on common issues.

and give us more info about the perspective car.

but first you should get this moved to the right sub forum.

check cold starts & driving characteristics, hot starts & driving characteristics, inspect the car when it is clean - dirt can hide minor body flaws, look everywhere and push every button/flip every switch. check all the fluids.

i could go on, but i won't.

peace.
