Surely you can find a junkyard undertray.

A few months ago I looked for a tray at junkyards, but they are not easy to find. First of all, they are rare cars, so there aren't many in yards. On top of that, it's a part that gets damaged easily, either while the car is in service, or after it ends up getting dragged around the yard. Also, they probably sell fairly quickly if they are intact. Imo, junkyards are often worth a try, but can be really hit or miss. I used to look for Miata parts, and often I'd get there just to find the car really picked over, with the part I wanted long gone. Every now and then I'd have good luck though, and sometimes got pretty good deals. I've had better luck with finding cars being stripped for parts by private owners, at least with them you can call and ask if they have what you need, before you drive forty minutes to go lie in the mud under some car precariously balanced on stacks of old wheels in some boneyard.

If I can't patch mine up, I can get one of those aluminum ones. I see originals on Ebay, but they go for ridiculous prices. It seems it would also be reasonably easy to make one from thin plywood using the original as a template. Maybe I'll try that.

Maybe I didn't look hard enough, but the ones I saw were about that price. I'd see that and think, that's not bad, and then notice the shipping was $139.
