Trak Pro Coilovers
Anyone have any experience with these? I can't find anymore info other then Pettit's website on these coilovers. Are they any good...ETC?
What do you all recommend as far as a good coilover in the $1500 range that does not have a remote resevoir? That would take me out of STX (autocross) I believe. |
A remote reservior would not take you out of STX. That radiator might, though.
I've never heard of Trak Pro. For $1500, you would be better off with something like Bilstein PSS9s if you have your heart set on a "coilover kit", or (for a lot less than that) a set of sleeves, springs, and Koni Sports. You can use the leftover money for bars and tires. edit: saw in your other post that you already have Konis. They will work just fine. Buy a set of sleeves (Ground Controls if you want to spend $$$) and 2.5" race springs in appropriate rates and lengths. Then sway bars, wheels, and tires. |

Maybe I should just get new shocks and maybe some sways but I need to determine the best setup for autocross and I know that is dependant on driver preference. Right now the car is a bit tale happy with only springs and struts. What do you think? |
He is way out of STX already per his other discussion. If you are the original purchaser your Konis have a lifetime warranty. Gordon at Koni NA should take care of you.

HOLY SH!+ :shocking: I totally forgot about the warrantee on the Koni's! Thanks team. BTW...On the Koni website the picture they use for performance shocks is of an Rx8 |
I had the same problem with my last set of Konis; however, b/c I was autoXing on them, no warranty. My current set has been fine. *shrug*
I'd recommend that you start reading the STX thread. Even if you're not in STX, that should give you a good place to start. I've only run mine in CS so I can't give you pointers, but Team and others have shared a lot of knowledge there. If you're just starting out, I wouldn't spend a ton of time/effort/money optimizing the car; work on your driving first. |

For those of you saying that the warranty is invalid because of autocross or track use, why did you tell them in the first place? Just send them in and keep your mouth shut...?

In any event, successfully fooling them doesn't change the terms of the warranty. |
