RX-8 to SCCA ES?

i have heard subdued rumors that the SCCA is considering whether the RX-8 might make sense moving from CS to ES. Anyone else tracking rumors on this topic?

I'm not really tuned-in, but I haven't heard anything. Will ask around at the SCCA AutoX this weekend in St. Louis. (In Mom's Miata.)
Would that be part of a bigger shuffle? Doesn't seem like the Miata would belong in ES if the RX-8 comes in.
