Performance testing your 8

has anyone gotten a chance to try out their 8 at a 1/4 mile track, or done any one of various other tests including 60-0 braking, skidpad, slallom ect...

ive got a gtech and have played around with it a little, today i did a 60-0 brake test and got a 115.

i also had the car weighed at a scale and with a 1/4 tank of gas it weighed in at 3000 pounds exactly w/o me

also i did a Rearwheel dyno test by using the my gtech.
you enter your cars exact weight with driver, then you set it to zero, and take off....

i ended up with 168rwhp, which is quite dissapointing to me
:(

let me know what you guys have done, and what mods you have if any!

btw, my 8 is a 6speed loaded....all packages

Ran like 15.7 in the 1/4 mile stock with 2 10" subs an and amp in the trunk and 3/4 tank of gas. I don't have a timeslip tho. And I had a misshift. But that was still my best time cuz im a bad drag racer.

Alot of people seem to complain about getting low rwhp, but have they done dynos on other cars with similar power to the 8?
How do other cars dyno at the rear wheels that claim 240-ish HP at the crank?

Thanks! No, that was only with the exhaust. My CZ1 still hasn't shipped. :(

I will run again once I get the CZ1.

My 03 Accord measured 195 Front wheel H.P. the rating at the crank is 240 H.P. There is usualy a 10% driveline loss between a rear and front drive car, but our carbon fiber drive shaft should limit this gap?

S2000s are usually 200-205whp, more for the 04s.

I've watched stock F-bodys run 290-300 RWHP. Factory rating is 310 at the crank. But there's also a lot of speculation that GM bagged the numbers so the Vette would look better.
I think also that the HP numbers for the 8 will vary depending on which flash has been performed. I hear a lot about them running near dangerously rich of the show room floor. The CZ1s biggest contribution is fixing that right?

The best I could do at the 1/4mile track was 15.0sec , with a stock car back in Feb.
The Gtech hp rating you got of 168rwhp is not exactly the same as a dyno rating. It explains in the manual that you will get lower hp numbers because of wind resistance and other stuff. On dyno's, the cars are stationary and no wind to slow them down.

No offense but thats nothing to brag about with an exhaust concidering they were origionally tested to run about a 14.5@96-97 out of the box before they fudged with the ECU.

Now our once 250HP engines that should be putting down about 205-210wrhp are making an average of a weak 170rwhp closer matched with a flywheel HP of about 210HP. What a rip off, I always get challanged by Celica GTS's, RSX-S and new Accord V6s and the race is usually so close or I get walked. I hate having a car that yells POWER and GET OUT OF MY WAY but can't back it up.

The time I went to the track there was an auto running mid 16's barely beating out riced out out civics.

I wasn't bragging but I do think it was a decent run. The purpose was to show some real data.
