Need help Enkei RPF1 size...
Hi to everyone reading, so my problem is this I'm doing some NASA HPDE racing with my RX-8 and I have decided to get new rims, now the problem I'm having is that I want to get the enkei RPF1 rims cause they are light weight and I've seen lots of people with them on the track, I have to sellers one has them for $900 negotiable size 17x9 and the other seller has them 18X9 for $1400, witch would you recommend and why?
Thank you for your time in reading this and helping me out.. |
17x9 with +45 offset.
They are lighter and the tires are cheaper for it. |
17x9, tires are way cheaper
|
New 17" tires are cheaper but 18" takeoffs are more common and therefore cheeper. For HPDE get what is cheeper and/or easier.
Reminds me I have an extra set of 5 silver 18x9.5 +45mm rpf1's I need to sell. |
There's no such thing as HPDE racing.
|
Yes there is no such thing as HPDE racing , I mean I'm like racing in a HPDE group, thanks for pointing that out.
|
And for those with advice on the rims thank you , I will go with the 17" since the tires cost less than the 18"
|
Driving on a track with other greenhorns is not even remotely like racing, especially when you're in the HPDE-1 group
|
let the newbies have their dreams of racing crushed slowly during the process of getting out there, not all at once like you're trying to do ;) We'll never get enough fresh meat out there otherwise :p
