My 1/4 mile time

I just went to the track this weekend and felt pretty happy with the time that i ran. I'm pretty sure that if i practice on the launch, my reaction time, and shifting a little faster i can get in the high 13's. Well here is my time slip. let me know what yall think.

Its kinda blurry but this is what it says
R/T: .502
60: 2.111
330: 5.985
1/8: 9.169
MPH: 79.01
1000: 11.912
1/4: 14.256
MPH: 97.86

What mods do you have?

05renesis 08-21-2007 03:51 PM

Ummm greddy cat back, rotary performance mid pipe, greddy water pump and alternator pulleys, agency power lighten drive pulley, and a 55 wet shot.

SouthFL 08-21-2007 04:02 PM

Reaction time has nothing to do with your Elapsed Time result.
Your 60' time is what will help bring that ET down- get it under 2.0 if you can.
Your RT is not bad by the way, if the timing is based on a .500 system.

I got them at a pretty decent price.. They aren't out on the market yet.

CosmosMpower 08-22-2007 10:22 AM

97 mph trap with a 55 shot?

Phish806 08-22-2007 02:26 PM

what do you run not on the bottle... ???

apples 08-22-2007 04:05 PM

damn, with a 55 shot i'd expect mid to high 13's easy. without bottle you must be at very very high 14's.

SoFL_RX8 08-22-2007 06:06 PM

You can definitly get into the high 13's with your setup. What size tires are you running and at what PSI?

05renesis 08-23-2007 01:23 AM

Well its extremely hot at the track down here, like 100+. but i'm pretty sure i can hit high 13's too if i really try. I got 275/35/18 BF Goodrich KDW T/A NT in the rear and 245/40/18 BF Goodrich KDW T/A NT in the front. and i haven't tried runing without spray yet. Next time the track is open i'll go and hopefully get a video of it so i can post it on here.

CosmosMpower 08-23-2007 08:23 AM

I would assume with boltons and a 55 shot the car could trap low 100's which with a 2.0 60 foot should net mid 13's all day long. I'm sure the weather plays a big part but 97 trap is pretty low. Might want to check the jets to make sure the right combo is in there, might have too much fuel.

i think he would have hurt something if he screwed up the jets:puke:

05renesis 08-23-2007 01:29 PM

i'm using a 17 for fuel and a 32 for nitrous. thats what the zex website said for a wet shot.

nelsonrx8 08-23-2007 02:46 PM

thats right

I declare your RX8 as the fastest on the planet because you posted a timeslip. Good job.

busky2k 09-28-2007 09:43 PM

I'd be pretty disappointed with a 97 trap and a 55 wet shot to be honest.

YaXMaNGTO 09-28-2007 11:58 PM

I was just looking at your trap at the 1/8th and a 79.01 mph really should get you closer to a 100 mph trap. It's like you missed a shift, or you let off before the line.
Was that your only run? If you have others, post them!

I think we can narrow it down, since the slip is from Texas Motorplex... Ennis is the south of Dallas.

Maybe his nitrous bottle ran low? Haha I'm jk. Serious though if your best time was suppose on the 4th run. You could do much better if the bottle was full.

Get the racingbeat race flash. I was pulling evos and stis all day long on a full bottle. Before the race flash its was still a good amount of power. 55 shot with the race flash should be safe considering I was using 65.

My mods were - rb race flash, act street/strip flywheel, exedy stage 1 race clutch, rp supercat(catless), hks legamax exhaust, and agency pulleys, fujita header, and bottle warmer at 65 shot.
