Koni 2812 in BS.

Hi I did some researsh and couldn't find any usefull info regarding this.

I talked with the guys at propartsusa, and they told me they can make me set of shocks that is legal for BS. but I am not sure if the koni's would be legal for the BS Anyone here runs the 2812's in their BS car?

Thanks in advance.

Yes, they're legal. Ask TeamRX8 about them.

So far, though, no one has really given any evidence that you need anything more than the SA yellows to win...I will say, when I drove Team's car a couple of months ago, the car felt better than my old car on the yellows...but, that might just be selective memory, I didn't drive the two cars back to back. Regardless, his car was very good, imho.

I don't recommend them over the twin tube Konis for B Stock. You can either go with the off the shelf low gas pressure SA or get them converted to external DA hydraulic and still be less than half the cost

The 2812 is a fantastic racing shock for the track or coilover setup in a class that allows suspension modifications. Barbara and Randy ran them in BS with mixed results. The biggest issue is their cost and the hit you take on resale relative to the rebuild costs.

I'm running Barbara's set of 2812s on my BS car right now. I really like the increased compression over the basic OTS Yellows. However, I got them for <1/2 the price of new, so, yeah. It may be cheaper to get yellows converted to DAs, but I don't know.
