HPDE: TrackDaze - Summit Point Shenandoah Circuit : 5/19-5/20

Hey everyone. It's time for my first track event of 2012. I'm planning on attending this event as I went last year and it was a great time. I was wondering if anyone else on the forums is interested in coming along. Francesco (L337FPC), Bill (Wankelbolt), Tim (Striker-7) were there last year along with me. TrackDaze runs a really good program and you will have 2 hours of track time per day. It is a great way to experience the handling and balance of your RX-8. Let's get a solid showing at the track from the RX-8 community. Information is below in the link. Thanks

Agreed it was a f'ing BLAST. I am sorting out if I can attend now. However, i will say this much...the elevation change at this track is awesome. Oh and the carousel from Nürburgring ring is there, to scale, :ylsuper: You can see the beginning of it in the left of this picture:

Track video from the last session of the day last year.

A post from my old blog with some of Gdawg552's pictures which gives a bit of perspective for how dynamic this track is.

If you want to appreciate your rotary, take her/him here. I promise you will enjoy every second of track time.

With TrackDaze you get (4) 20-30min sessions A DAY. So for a weekend that is 4 hrs of track time. You simply cannot get a better deal than this.

Cool video!

I can see you aren't going full throttle though.

The "Shen" is truly a car control track, at the expense of the full-throttle crowd. The Corvette drivers call it "a straitjacket track", because they can't get into the loud pedal as much as they like. If you can get a fast lap on Shenandoah in the RX-8, you are truly wheeling the car. :)

Speaking from experience, I've got it matted from Big Bend to the Loop, on Stonehouse Straight, and coming out of the Trigger (Bridge Straight) over the Ski Jump. Anyplace else on The Shen, you'll be spinning and talking to the stewards. I know, after facing traffic spinning out of Loop on a wet track. :Freak_ani

Last time I was at the Shen we had lots of 8's
Check engine lights were going off and I used my scan tool to let the owners know that it was only a misfire.
Previously at the Shen the RX-8 owners would leave because they did not know what code was thrown.
