i tend to autocross on near stock street pressures- high 20's to low 30's. most people use higher pressures, but generally you want to use the lowest pressure you can without causing the sidewall to deflect enough to distort the contact patch. the smoother a driver you are and the better you are at driving the rear of the car (especially on corner entry) to take the load off the front, the lower pressures you can use. a novice might require 40+ psi in front from scrubbing from too much steer angle.
have fun! dont forget to turn the DSC and TC off.

I started with 34 all around, went up to 38 all around. If I had more runs I would have tried 38 front, 34 rear. Only one autocross with a rear drive car so far, so not that much experiance with the RX8 yet.

the last 2 times i went i stayed with stock pressure and my times were slow but thats cuz of being a newbie to the whole thing and honestly being scared of the rx8. i am use to a civic as hard as you punch it its still slow the rx8 can turn into a beast.
as for todays autox!! i woke up at 7am and went to the bathroom and puked looks like i have a stomach virus! i didnt wanna attempt to see how i would feel after being thrown around a car during autox! im kinda pissed im missing it.

you want the rear tires psi lower than the front.......more air = more spin. There are little arrows on the upper sidewalls of your stock tires. Try to get the tires to show some wear up to them. I personally use 38 front, 34 rear.

Basic guideline for autocross is chalk the tires where the tread blends into the sidewall. After each run you can see how far down you've gotten and whether you need more or less air in each tire.
Having said that, on stock tires and suspension I found the fronts needed +2 PSI (34 PSI total) and the rears didn't need any (32 PSI).
