Didn't think it could be done...

I thought only rear engine Porsche's could do this but low and behold I lifted my front passenger wheel around turn 17 at Sebring, twice... Even had a passenger, two different laps.
Attachment 222591 Attachment 222592 Yes, I know it's not racing but, notice the Porsche on the second pic, wishing he could do the same... :) |
Yea it happens. Not the best scenario for handling but it does make for a cool pic that for sure...

YEAH BABY! Nice. I couldn't find a single car, besides a Porsche 911, to lift a wheel on 17 at Sebring. Nice to see somebody else "hooked up!" even if on a different track! It's sweet how low torque, relatively low horsepower cars can do what rear engine high horse/high torque cars can do.

Check for front sway bar stiction.

Nice wheelie =)
|
you see this alot with BMWs running sewer pipe size swaybars
I've done it with one of my MR2s as well. Never expected it with an RX8 since it has alot more of a "proper" suspension setup |
look at the opposite corner, the front runs out of extension before the rear runs out of compression
it's been being done since 2004 ... |
