Arkansas ProSolo
April 12/13..Are any other B-stockers planning to come out and play ?
Chris Harvey |
not unless I'm driving your car ...
|
Co-drive seat is filled , but looking forward to running against you later this year.
Chris |
Arkansas is unfortunately too far for my co-driver and I - over 12 hours one-way. We have 3 pro solos within a closer drive to VA (DC, Toledo & Finger Lakes).
|
Where's Woody? Is he not your regular co-driver this year? I probably won't make that event but there's a possibility of me running the Peru Tour and the Toledo Pro.
|
Hey Miles -
Accord to his agent...he has a schedule conflict for the Arkansas weekend. He plans to be back in the car for Toledo/Peru/Milwaukee. :) Chris |
Not going to make the Pro. Planning on the April MidDiv in KC though.

Only 80 total registrants, but looks like BS has already made a class: Arkansas Pro Solo Entry List
|
Only 80 people signed up with three weeks to go? Maybe they'll do like last year and combine it with a Shriner parade at the last minute. Oh wait, that was a National Tour. :icon_no2:
Single course Pro Solo in Arkansas FTL! Y'all have fun. |
it will get fuller in another week or so, many people procrastinate sending in their registartion

Single course Pro Solo in Arkansas FTL! Y'all have fun. After 5 months of winter here in the Midwest, I would run this event on Shriner Scooters if I had too! A Single course Pro might not be as big of a rush as a Dual Course, but the prospect of 12 runs and having to nail a run in each of 3 segments certainly presents an interesting challenge. It's like a Tour and half with the challenge of getting the Tree right each time and the possibility of Challenge rounds to boot. Chris H |
I was pretty sceptical, but actually enjoyed the single course event at Miller Motorsport Park last year
|
Results from the first two sessions on Day 1 are up: http://www.scca.com/documents/result...5_sat%20pm.pdf
Harvey leads BS, followed by Thompson and then Bronson. |
only 114 entries :uhh:
|
Provisional results are up: http://www.scca.com/documents/result...rovisional.pdf

Ok, so even though I'm not in the same class. the BS battle was all that anyone would hoped it would be. Wow! it was very fun to watch!!! I miss mine but Harvey, Bronson and Thompson put on a show!!!! Not a typical RX8 course but...damn I still have love for that car and it was back and forth the entire time.
I just had to say....thanks for the show!!!! I miss my silver bulltet and it was a treat to watch. |
congrat's on the FS win Asher.
BTW, the SSR wheels you sent me look great, thanks again. |
Congrats Chris on the win! Wish I could have been there, but that's a long commute. Hope to compete against you at a few more events this year.

It was a blast battling with the rest of the class, Mike Bronson and Carter kept the pressure on through out the event. I left the door open for Carter when I DNF'd the finish on my last run. He almost capitalized by running the quickest overall time in the class on his last run. It was fun watching F-stock as well (congrats !), it's amazing how well the Mustangs will transition for such big cars. Mike and I did run into an issue with my car that I have not heard of others having. At the 180 turn around (left turn), we were only able to get about 6000-6500 rpm in 1st gear before the car would suck air and bog out on the exit. The fuel level did not seem to have much impact on the problem. We tried all the way up to 1/2 tank, with little change. Running the pin turn in 2nd gear the car was fine, it seems to be more RPM/throttle position related that "G" related. The really strange part is, we never had an issue with this last year and the Toledo Pro had a very similar corner...weird. The Single Course Pro format was awesome, the challenge of the tree and getting 1 run "right" out of each 3 sessions is a real challenge. Being able to run 3 runs back to back with just 6-8 minutes between them in each session gave you just enough time to tweak the set-up and re-focus before going back out for you next run. IMHO-the bang for the buck is better than a Tour event and the adrenaline rush is 90-95% of a traditional ProSolo. Chris |
Good job Chris. Also nice work by the BS wash-outs, Asher in FS, and Foley picking up the SS win:SHOCKED: . To bad they were not that fast in the RX-8.

I guess I'll take that as a compliment. I do feel I could've gone that fast or faster in an RX-8 on that particular course. Fun cars, but I'm not done playing with RX-8's just yet:Eyecrazy:
